We were booked in for 3 weekend nights and got spectacularily lost on the fri but Barbara rang us enough and guided us in!The most genial hosts we've ever met, our room was spacious, spotless and as requested, with a view of the Vale,Avoca river and Miner's Cross. Being close to the road never occurred to us as being a problem... More

Myself and my two friends had the pleasure of staying at the old coach house on Wednesday the 23rd of July we arrived about 5 hours early but were warmly greeted and served tea and coffee and biscuits. We were informed about all the local places of interest and had a restaurant booking and taxi booking made for us nothing... More

We stop there on our way to Connemara, after a day in Glendalough. Very nice atmosphere, nice and clean room. We agree the Breakfast was amazing. Mick's advice for the area were abundant and very helpful. A place to recommend.

The owners of the Old Coach House could not have been more hospitable and kind. They went out of their way to make us feel at home - and we did! The rooms are tastefully decorated, spotless and very cosy and comfortable. With the help of the owners, we had rented bikes, which were waiting for us on our arrival.... More

Just after returning from a lovely stay at the old coach house - this is a welcoming and very friendly establishment with character. From the moment we arrived we were made feel so at home by the hosts Mick & Barbara the beautiful Labrador outside was an extra bonus, we were a young couple and though the area seemingly quiet... A lovely B@B in a beautiful area. Host Barb and Mick so helpful and we were made to feel right at home from the time we walked in the front door. Breakfast was sumptuous! Very pretty area and if a walker then some great spots to walk.

Had a delightful stay at the Old coach house! Rooms were lovely, comfortable! Loved the breakfast and the use of the living room. Great location lying between Avoca and Rathdrum; only regret that we didn't spend a longer time with Mick and Barbara. Thank you for your hospitality!

We booked this place last minute, and loved it. A very welcoming, inviting and warm B&B. Driving the roads there are narrow, but the B&B is beside the main road, despite that, it is well insulated for a quiet sleep. Okay, so strange, they have free range chickens for eggs, and they are so friendly; the chickens, they ran up... More

My wife and I just spent the weekend in The Old Coach House. I have to say we really enjoyed ourselves. Mick and Barbera are lovely people who couldn't make you feel more welcome or do enough for you. The B&B is lovely and the breakfast is excellent. I would really recommend a break here.
