This is a nice campsite for families to go to as there is plenty to do for kids. We travelled as a couple so there was not much to do on site for us. One thing we found a bit annoying is the amount of bicycle traffic on the site when it states that cycling is not allowed. We had... More

We stayed at Morriscastle Strand caravan park for 9 nights in July - weather very mixed but still lots to do with some excellent facilities such as the football pitch (easily bookable for just one euro for an hour) and tennis courts (again easily bookable and free). The facilities really are excellent, including lovely café and well appointed laundry etc.... More

We are a family of two adults and two children that camped here on a busy July weekend. There are many positive things to say about this site. It is within easy enough reach to Dublin to justify a short break. It is dog-friendly. It has direct access to an incredibly long unspoiled beach. There are centrally located small playgrounds... Arrived after getting drenched cycling down from glendalough with full bike touring load. Explained I just wanted to camp for the night, staff could not have been friendlier, showed me all the pitches and let me choose a nice one near the dunes. Even gave me a free shower token, to reward my perseverance to get to them through the... More

My girlfriend and I recently stayed here with a small tent for two nights. We were late arriving and the lady in the office was delighted to take us in. We were given a nice quiet pitch. The cafe had just been upgraded but the staff were quiet unfamiliar with the menu and didn't have much to offer at the... More

Our second visit to Morriscastle was very enjoyable. The playground had been upgraded and the children had a ball. It was just before the summer holidays kick in so site was relatively quiet which was a big contrast from when we were last there and would definitely prefer the quieter time of the year as the site can be very... Many thanks for your review. Your comments on the lower toilet block would have been received better in person at Reception for us to be able to tell you the following - 1 - new flushers for the toilets are in transit to us so that we can rectify the flushing issue with our loos. I'm aware its a very... More

Just back from a couple of days camping at Morriscastle. The beach is amazing. The campsite is ideally located. Staff very friendly & helpful. I found the toilets, showers and kitchen to be very clean. Will be back!

We stayed in Morriscastle Strand in August along with a group of friends in a mixture of caravans, tents and camper vans and had an excellent trip. The location of the campsite is fantastic, right on the beach with sand dunes surrounding the pitches. Kids are really well catered for, we didn't see ours for a week! It was extremely... More
