We only had one night here and I wish we had more. The room we had was right at the top of the house and was delightfully decorated. The views of the hills in the distance were amazing and there was a wonderful sense of being away from it all. Helen and Michael are marvellous hosts and serve a delicious... More

Clonacody House has something special to offer its guests, the grounds are lovely, the house itself is very warm, welcoming and comfortable, but it is Helen and Michael who bring that something extra to the equation, the words grace charm and accommodating spring to mind.A group of us attended a workshop/ reunion there recently and it was an ideal venue.Our... We booked Clonacody House for a family christening and I can highly recommend it. Helen and Mike made us very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them either before or during the event - Mike event lent one of the guests a shirt when he got coffee on his own! The sitting rooms are beautiful and perfect for... More

Even on the drive up to the house, I knew this place was going to be special. An absolutely beautiful setting and very welcoming reception by the owner Helen who has the place looking fantastic. Only stayed for one night and unfortunately it was a late arrival in the night followed by early departure after breakfast, but really enjoyed my... More

We stayed at Clonacody, with our horses as our two girls were eventing at Grove the following day. This is a charming country house and Helen provided a delicious supper, followed the next morning by a great breakfast cooked by Mike. The countryside is beautiful and I would recomend Clonacody to anyone who needs a bit of spoiling and rejuvination.

Thanks to Helen & Mike for a great stay. We hired the house for a family occasion, we made ourselves at home in no time. Beautiful grounds with huge trees, we had sun and rain and the place is equally gorgeous in both. Huge rooms with free standing baths, stunning staircase an lots and lots of history throughout the house... More

1st came across Clonacody when I attended a poetry reading there. We had to be forcibly removed from the comfy couches by the fire at the end of the night!! We got married this year & knew we wanted something different but close to home. So we rented Clonacody for the day & night, had a marquee set up on... More

We would give Helen 6 stars if we could. Because of a business trip in Dublin we only had a few days to get out and experience the Irish countryside and this was it! Contacted Helen a few weeks out and told her our desire to see some of Ireland; but, with limited time. She responded (very quickly) via email... More

I may come across bias here as I am from fethard, I took some friends home with me to visit my home town and decided to stay here as there was no room at my parents. Clonacody is an amazing place of Peace and proper Irish countryside. But you are still not to far from one of the oldest pubs... More
