Good quality food, excellent location, good atmosphere in bar, reasonably priced food and drink. Our room was on the small side, could do with a re vamp. However the view was excellent. Mary Co Kildare

A real gem of a hotel. We wanted a real get away from it all and this ticked all the boxes. Beautiful walks, seaweed bath, gym,a pool, cosy bar and friendly staff. Ate in bar on first night, steak was first class, service excellent. Yvonne in reception couldn't have been more helpful with A real genuine Irish welcome, friendly and... More

Truly a gem of a location but as for the peir hotel? Personally it needs updating although it is clean, the food is very good, especially in the bar as are the staff, most of the other staff are good but appear to be held back! Breakfast would be good if the cooked food was ready and kept supplied (although... More

I've stayed here once but often visit here for dinner/ snacks and always find the place charming. The food is always lovely and if you're not expecting something like the "ritz" then you're in for a real treat with its stunning views and relaxed atmosphere, I will return here time and time again for as long as I visit mullaghmore.

We crashed here for one night mostly because it is located where our travel day ended. It was nice to be right on the harbour but that was about the only thing that made this hotel anything special. Rooms were ok, staff were ok, food was ok and overall everything was about average; nothing really good, nothing really bad.

I arrived in Mullaghmore, after a weekend at Glenveagh National Park, Co. Donegal. I stopped & asked a few folks walking along the coastline, where to go for breakfast, and, all recommended the Pier Head Hotel. Stunning views, await any guest entering the dining room. The wait staff, informed me that breakfast was over, & they were preparing for lunch,... More

Due to its fantastic location, we were looking forward to staying here, although were less than pleased when we did. The room was small and the walls marked, although the seaview was nice. The food was great, but the service was slow and staff in restaurant/ bar weren't particularly helpful or friendly. The band played 'Fields of Anthenry' and said... More

I booked at the last minute in anticipation of a big storm rolling in. I arrived after the restaurant had closed but.."no problem" The barman put on a pizza for me (now why can't more pubs do this??) the Guinness was excellent, and staff very friendly. Anyone who knows the big wave surfing fraternity knows they get up 2hrs before... More

A great 2 nights hotel stay here in July. Fabtastic beach, picturesque harbour and great food in the restaurant overlooking the harbour. Breakfast with stunning views out over the Atlantic coast and a great central point for visiting other sights and beaches in Sligo and Donegall. Pool - tseam room and sauna are well worth a visit to help you... More

We were sold a 2 night deal to stay in Pier head as a spa break. This hotel is fine if you are looking somewhere to crash the night, its is average, the room we had was particularly poor. Paper thin walls, rock hard bed and damp in the bathroom. The spa was a run down leisure centre with a... More
