Four of us stayed in two double rooms recently. As I'm a wheelchair user it can be difficult finding a suitable room, but Mary gave us our choice and we stayed in a lovely double with ensuite. Mary was a perfect host - she welcomed us , gave us tea and lovely cake and then left us in peace to... More

Rooms are nice and cozy. The owner is very nice, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was ok. I have been there in the winter and I found the room a bit cold. After a day out, coming back to my room and finding out that the heater was cold was indeed not a nice surprise. It warmed up after a while,... More

We stayed here for two nights while attending a conference in the nearby Radisson Hotel. Mary could not have been more helpful. When a friend had to stay as an extra in our room due to a mix up with another hostel, Mary was very accommodating and offered our friend breakfast. The room and facilities were clean, well stocked and... More

Philmar House is a beautiful Bed & Breakfast and Mary was so nice. We arrived after making online reservations to find that Mary was fully booked. She explained that same day online reservations can be very inaccurate. She was so helpful in arranging another B & B. Her property and gardens are beautiful and we felt really let down that... More

Clean, comfortable, quiet room in a welcoming home An excellent location with beautiful grounds. Close by Rosses Point for golf and restaurants. Our host Mary could not have been nicer. Besides providing delicious, generous breakfasts with homemade breads, she went the extra mile and dried our rain-soaked golf gear. We would happily return!

We are so very grateful for the cleanliness of the rooms, and areas. The grounds were beautifully maintained, giving us space to enjoy the outdoors. It is a short drive into Rosses Point and Sligo. The best was the lounge room we had the use of. It provided wifi and gave us privacy and a nice place to sit, have... More

Fabulous location. Not far from the city(by car), near Rosses point(you have to there absolutely). The ensuite room and the house were clean and comfortable. Top breakfast, fresh prepared by Mary. Love this guesthouse.

Set back in beautiful gardens you just knew this was going to be good......and it did not disappoint. Mary, our host, was there to greet us and,... More
