This was our second time to hilton park, surprising my girlfriend while we were on the way back from a wedding in donegal. It was equally as amazing as our first trip, this time we managed to fish on the lake, though the fish avoided us this time :) We had a fabulous dinner and an equally fabulous breakfast! This... I must admit I was a tad dubious when my better half whisked me away for a surprise weekend trip and eventually hinted that we were going to...Monaghan. But all my trepidation melted away when we turned down the lengthy atmospheric drive and got our first glimpse of the HP and its grounds. We could not have asked for more... More

We are a family of two parents and two teenegers and arrived at Hilton Park (on the Scotshouse road two miles out of Clones, Co Monaghan) along a narrow, winding driveway through woods and fields full of sheep. The house is about 300 hundred years old and is of the 'Grand' style in a magnificent, elevated setting overlooking a pretty... More

We have stayed here as a couple twice and loved it both times. Big quiet country house. Really friendly family running it - amazing food and an ambience of delightedly faded grandeur. If your after a spa experience or fancy jacuzzi baths look elsewhere - if your looking for an amazing experience in a little visted corner of Ireland look... More

This is a great house with lots of character and style. The service is faultless and the food sublime. The grounds and views are wonderful too. Well worth a visit!

just back from 3 days of luxury, afternoon tea and 4 course dinners, Hilton Park lets you experience the authentic country house vibe, with wrought iron baths, no tv's and 400 acres of greenery, lakes and sheep. We had one of the best breaks yet,and could find very few faults with our stay , we certainly can't wait to go back... A group of old school friends headed up to Hilton for a weekend of good food and drink, we got that and a lot more ! The warmth of the Maddens is what makes a difference to this place and the food and wine was top, top quality. We had clay pigeon shooting and fishing on the estate during the... More

Had a wonderful stay. We were in the lodge at the gate which is self-catering but went up to the main house for dinner one night. The lodge is comfortable and has everything you might need, what makes it exceptional is the welcome and care and attention to their guests that is given by the family. Dinner at the main... More

I had the most amzing stay here a few weeks ago. I have not slept like it since and have certainly not found peace or silence like it! I was touring with a theatre company backstage around the country and thought I would treat myself while near Clones as it was towards the end of a long tour. It was... More

Hilton Park is exceptional. It offers guests the most authentic Big House experience available in Ireland, without being in any sense stuffy. Indeed Johnny and Lucy Madden could not be stuffy if they tried! After a spiritually restoring walk through the park’s hills and woods, Johnny will appear to offer tea or, if the hour is appropriate, something stronger. He... More
