Having read some of the reviews was not expecting much. Was quite surprised as our room was very clean & was large with a double & single bed. Had everything you needed. The bed was very hard but that is personal taste suppose you can't please everyone on that. The bathroom was a bit of a let down, shower cubicle... More

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat with our 2 children, aged 2 & 7, after visiting Tayto Park. We got burgers and a sharing platter. Big portions, reasonably priced and quick service. We always stop off for a bite to eat here when in Ashbourne. Will return soon!

So disappointing! I booked this hotel for myself and family to stay for my nephews christening. When I booked I asked was it possible to check in early and if not could we use a room to get changed in as we traveled from Galway and I was told that would be no problem. We arrived at 1.30 and had... More

decent hotel, good food and atmosphere. Prices are cheap for b&b. Sunday carvery is very nice and there's an indoor bouncy castle for kids which was great As you can see children while eating your dinner

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with cheery smiles. The reception staff f Dee and Stacey are quick and knowledgeable, both about hotel and Ashbourne itself. Want information on where to go? Ask them. Our room was a family room, though it was just two of us. On the top floor it was spacious, clean and had everything... More

Booked into the Ashbourne House Hotel when attending the Ed Sheerin gig in Croke Park. We were greeted by a lovely fair haired receptionist, full of enthusiasm and information. This was the only good point. The rooms were a throwback to the seventies in terms of decor and comfort . We were greeted by the smell of sour milk (or... More

Rooms shabby and worse dirty. Evidence in bar and restaurant of under seats not swept or hovered for some time. First receptionist rude and disrespectful. Her replacement was lovely lady but overall it was one of the worst hotels we have stayed in.

Lovely hotel, staff very friendly and the locals, food is excellent, place is clean and tidy, wonderful smoking area for smokers, weekend entertainment is good. A great fry for breakfast. Would definately recommend bus stop outside to go to Dublin.

We stayed here with extended family to visit Tayto Park. The hotel reception staff were friendly and helpful on arrival. We as a family of four on holidays asked for a family room which consisted of a double bed, single and a camp bed. This made the room very cramped although exactly what we had asked for. As we booked... More

Myself and my boyfriend attended a wedding here and had a great day although the rooms are a little dated and very basic the hotel itself is quiet nice and the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating the breakfast was delicious and the location is great I wouldn't book this hotel just for a night away but I certainly wouldn...
