Booked into the Ashbourne House Hotel when attending the Ed Sheerin gig in Croke Park. We were greeted by a lovely fair haired receptionist, full of enthusiasm and information. This was the only good point. The rooms were a throwback to the seventies in terms of decor and comfort . We were greeted by the smell of sour milk (or... More

Rooms shabby and worse dirty. Evidence in bar and restaurant of under seats not swept or hovered for some time. First receptionist rude and disrespectful. Her replacement was lovely lady but overall it was one of the worst hotels we have stayed in.

Lovely hotel, staff very friendly and the locals, food is excellent, place is clean and tidy, wonderful smoking area for smokers, weekend entertainment is good. A great fry for breakfast. Would definately recommend bus stop outside to go to Dublin.

We stayed here with extended family to visit Tayto Park. The hotel reception staff were friendly and helpful on arrival. We as a family of four on holidays asked for a family room which consisted of a double bed, single and a camp bed. This made the room very cramped although exactly what we had asked for. As we booked... More

Myself and my boyfriend attended a wedding here and had a great day although the rooms are a little dated and very basic the hotel itself is quiet nice and the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating the breakfast was delicious and the location is great I wouldn't book this hotel just for a night away but I certainly wouldn... It was our last night in Ireland so we figured we'd stay close to the airport. We picked the Ashbourn because it seemed reasonable and the pictures seemed decent. We were greeted, got our room key - the lady at the front desk was nice enough. When we arrived in the room we were greeted by a musty, smokey stink... More

Didn't eat or stay in the Ashbourne house, but went in for a drink. The two lads behind the bar were very nice and on the ball,The young blonde lady behind the bar was perhaps having an off night!! forgot our drinks several times with no apology! guinness is very good. They really need to turn the tvs off after a... More

Myself and my partner stayed overnight here recently. We were meeting up with the day after a wedding party so we weren't it a great state but were nicely surprised by the room we stayed in. Good size, comfy double bed with spare single. Nice shower, no bath, but suited us. The front of the hotel looks very run down... More

Stayed for a weekend with my daughter. We stayed in one of the refurbished rooms, which was very clean. The only problem we had was the walls are paper thin and I could hear someone snoring loudly on both nights which meant I got no sleep! Receptionist very friendly and acoomdated us as we requested a late check out. Music... More
