We had a recent 3 night stay in this hotel (Wednesday to Saturday), we got BB at a very good rate of 69 per night but decided to upgrade to a suite for an extra 25 euro per night so well worth doing. Rooms were very big with big bathroom which had a jacuzzi, the only draw back was we... more

Stayed here recently on a 2 night break. Hotel is in a good location, very close to everything in the town centre. The food was lovely. The room was very clean and quite spacious. This was my second stay and was just as good as the first stay! My only fault was that as staying as part of the supervalu... more

Thank you for taking the time to write your review on Trip Advisor. I am delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay with us here in the Portlaoise Heritage Hotel. Regarding the menu for Supervalu Breaks this is due to a dinner bed and breakfast package which requires a reduced set menu, it is however possible to pay a...

Loved the food, portions very generous with good menu variety. Got the room at a great price. The location is central to Dubliln to and Limerick, so not far. The room was dated badly though. Staff very generous and helpful. Lovely interior. Would stay again. more

We stayed for one night midweek (not prebooked). The entrance and lobby are very grand but we found our room rather dark even though it was a good size and was on the front of the hotel. However it was reasonable value at 59euro. The bathroom only had 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel visible----on check out I was told the... more

My fiance and I stayed here in Aug. We found the hotel very comfortable and the range of foods was fantastic. We were greeted by friendly staff and checked in with ease. When in our room we asked recepiton about eating in the Itallian restaurant and they put us through to them. The meal was fantastic. The second nite we... more

Stayed at the Heritage over Christmas and it was excellent. I can't believe I was in the same hotel as some of these other reviewers! We arrived at 4.15 pm and had been advised that check-in was guaranteed from 3 pm, however, we had to wait for half an hour for our room. Not a big deal for us but... more

Stayed for one night...which was enough. Rooms were awful, hotel moved us but the new one was just as bad. Dark and shabby...a 3 star would have had a better standard. Check out took ages.... Breakfast was awful. Only upside, Italian restaurant attached to hotel was excellent. more

Stayed at the hotel Jul 2008 with two Children under 3. The hotel was lovely just on the outskirts of the town centre. The hotel does not offer "family rooms" the biggest room has a double and single bed with just enough room for a travel cot. We phoned to see if there was a fridge in the hotel room... more
