My wife and I stayed here recently for one night en route to the south of the country. We wanted the country house atmosphere and we were delighted with our stay. The hosts are a young couple who make you exceedingly welcome. The breakfast was probably the best we have experienced in many years at any hotel or B&B anywhere.... More

We stayed here on our way through Southern Ireland. What a lovely place to stay. the hosts are a nice young couple who made us feel very welcome in their home. While the property is in need of renovation - and these aspects are not significant to have reduced our stay experience, it is their home and as such retains... More

A group of 27 of us stayed here to celebrate a birthday. From beginning to end it was a wonderful stay. The house is full of charm and all the rooms have great character. More importantly Paddy, Hannah and the other staff provided such lovely service that we felt more like we were visiting relatives or friends than coming to... More

A beautiful, gracious house that was spectacularly decked out in floral displays from the garden, comfy sofas by the fire, dressing up for dinner in the elegant dining room. The food was delicious, exotic and wonderfully presented - Paddy did a Moroccan theme for our dinner party - very generous proportions for a 'pre-theatre' meal before the performance in the... More

An amazing old house in incredible grounds, with hosts that couldn't do more for you. The rooms are quirky and stylish, thankfully without TVs and gadgets. The green room is glorious and fun. The food was extraordinary. Hannah and Paddy were sublime hosts and even streamed the football to accommodate us seeing England lose to Uruguay. Only bad point.......

I stayed at the Roundwood House almost two weeks ago, traveling from the United States. I can't say enough good things about this B&B. Paddy and Hannah are such gracious hosts and lovely people. The meals prepared were superb and best of all healthy. It was such fun to have homemade jams/honey and Irish biscuits and bread. I got to... More

We couldn't have chosen better for our first night in Ireland A relatively short drive (maybe an hour) from Dublin airport and a very warm welcome from Paddy and Hannah (and Roccoco the friendly golden lab). The house was built in 1715 I think and shows some of its age but that made it all the better. We stayed in... More

Where to begin. We stayed at the Roundwood House for two nights this month for our daughter's wedding which was held there, also. From the moment we stepped inside the Roundwood House we were greeted by Hannah and her warm smile. Paddy showed up shortly thereafter and helped with our luggage. They had a fire going in the drawing room... More

We have been stopping at this wonderful Georgian home for more than 20 years, It is always a joy to do so. Now run by the second generation of family owners its relaxed style, superb food and above all genuinely welcoming atmosphere has remained consistent. The house and gardens would warrant a substantial detour as would the food. No trip... More

We visited Roundwood House in June of 2012 and we just loved it! We wanted to stay in a true Irish home while we were in Ireland and visiting Roundwood House was just the most amazing stay. We had gotten engaged the night before arriving and the Flynn family made us feel so welcome and special. They also spoiled us... More
