This is a highly impressive & charming location within an hour's drive of Dublin City Centre. It's here now due to the "labour of love" of the late serial entrepreneur, Tony Ryan - he discovered a derelict, overgrown village on the banks of the Grand Canal, and with vision & major financial resources, created an impressive venue for Weddings and... Everything about the Village at Lyons is outstanding & the place most definitely has the 'WOW' factor, the grounds are immaculate & perfectly manicured, the entrance to the hotel with the canal flowing under the walkway is stunning & picturesque. The staff at hotel are exceptional and nothing is too much trouble, from check in to check out you are... More

We attended a wedding 13/09/14. The experience we had at the village was amazing. The food was fantasic and the setting for a wedding is breathtaking. Any couple would fine this a fantasy location. Due to many family members staying at the venue i was in a few of the rooms and each one was as impressive as the other.... More

Came here for a wedding and was overwhelmed by the amazing place. Stayed in the concurry suite which you get taken to by buggy. Great decor and furnishing only downside no air conditioning which when you are getting ready for the wedding would be a great plus to avoid sweating. The walkin shower was just perfect to freshen my senses... More

We were here with our children for a wedding for 2 nights. The Wedding was perfect! The staff were amazing! The wedding was truly perfect! The Breakfast was delicious. The room was a little cramped given we had 4 people in the room with 2 roll outs. The children loved the shower! Our door lock was a little tricky to... More

Fabulous grounds but disappointed with the interior of the Canal Cafe, lacks the charm and finesse that the rest of the estate exudes. Breakfast stand for two had more than enough food for 3 people but I felt the quality did not live up my expectation. The bread, scones and pastries tasted "shop bought" to me. Really fantastic idea and... More

Thank you for your feedback. I will review your comments with our Chef Danielle. All of the items on the canal cafe menu including the breads and scones are baked daily and prepared by Danielle & her team. We will review the excellently priced breakfast stand option. More

Went here for lunch. I was never here before and I couldnt believe the grounds when I drove in. Fabulous. Buildings are beautiful so well preserved. The gounds are lovely and the small river running into the mill in front of the hotel is beautiful. I only had a short time to visit but I will certainly return to see... More

Attended a wedding there recently and everything was flawless. From the surroundings to the attentive but not overbearing staff. The food was excellent, especially considering we we the only awkward vegans in the wedding party. Usually this requires some explaining but not in this case. The rooms were amazing too. Thanks to everyone at Lyons

This was my first visit to The Village at Lyons and we ate in the Cafe. The food and coffee were good and service was attentive. But the Croque Monsieur was tiny for €8.95. The portion amounted to 2 miniature little croque monsieurs that together amounted to about 1 normal slice of bread. I left the cafe hungry. I will... More

Thank you for taking the time to review your experience in the cafe. I'm glad to learn that you had a pleasant experience apart from the pricing of the Croque Monsieur. All of the items on the cafe menu are made fresh each day within the Village and are therefore more expensive than your average cafe. Customer feedback is encouraged... More
