Antoinette welcomed us warmly after our journey and brought warm scones and tea in the comfy lounge. There was a feeling of calm and peace there...The bedroom was comfortable and clean and we were treated to a delicious traditional Irish breakfast. Thanks to Andrew and Antoinette for their hospitality and friendly hotel.

What a wonderful place - from the warm welcome with tea and scones in the [most interesting] garden, delightful room, wonderful dinner [thanks to Lydia for tweaking the menu to make it suitable for my husband]. This is an easy distance from the ferry ports, so is undoubtedly a down setting to be recommended - many thanks to Antoinette and... More

A beautiful country estate with all the charm and character of classic storybooks - I kept feeling like I was in a BBC miniseries! Andrew and Antoinette were VERY warm and welcoming, and they really went the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable, even going so far as to serve us a vegan breakfast and vegan scones with tea.... My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Dollardstown house whilst attending a wedding in Rathvilly. As we had initially intended heading back to Dublin after the wedding, our decision to book was very much last minute. We are so glad we did as we returned home refreshed from what has been the best bed and breakfast we... More

This has to be the nicest bed and breakfast in kildare. Only 7 min from Athy and it's amazing from the minute you arrive the owner is so nice and friendly and very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. But the reason for the review is that she has thought of everything you would need it's here.... from the... More

We choose Dollardstown House as venue for my BIG birthday celebrations and were delighted we did. I didn't want a large party but yet wanted to celebrate with family. Dollardstown House is a hidden gem and perfect for such occasions. We had 15 adults for dinner and 11 stayed the night. As we booked all rooms, we got to see... More

Dollardstown House is a great place to vacation. The rooms were large and sumptuous, the food great, the welcome scones were delicious (even though we had eaten just before we arrived), and the hosts wonderful. But the cost to stay was surprisingly low--so don't tell or they may increase the rates!

Stayed here last weekend as we were attending a wedding in the Clanard court hotel. Its about 6/7 minutes from the hotel with no probs getting a taxi back after wedding. Upon arrival we were greeted with homemade scones and coffee which were very tasty! The beds were extremely comfortable and the breakfast in the morning was exceptional... enough to... More

My wife & I stayed for 5 days at Dollardstown House in May 2014. This is a really lovely 3 storey Georgian house in its own grounds and beautifully furnished throughout in period style. We stayed in the spacious and extremely comfortable en suite Master Bedroom. Antoinette and Andrew are a very charming couple and really wonderful hosts for whom... More

We stumbled across Dollardstown House recently while looking for somewhere to stay near Athy. How fortunate we were! As members of the National Trust we often dream of staying in an old mansion or castle and Dollardstown certainly fulfils our dream. It is approached by a driveway through mature trees which brought us to the magnificent deep rose painted three... More
