We (wife, daughter aged 6 and I) stayed here for one night during the summer. Booking the family room at late notice was not a problem and was handled perfectly by Antoinette. She asked if we had any special requests and when I told her that my wife is a celiac I was assured that it would not be a... More

My wife & I stayed one night. Only sorry it could not be two! Lovely old home, all renovated in keeping. Lovely quality sheets, pillows etc. As hosts the owners are exceptional. You are made to feel you are the best thing to ever arrive at their premises. Can't speak highly enough of the stay. Judy & Donald, New Zealand

I stayed at Dollardstown House in June and loved every moment of my time there. There are 5 rooms available and I would highly recommend the Iris room as it is filled with natural lighting and the colors are lovely. The view from the front of the home consists of grazing livestock in a farther pasture and the front gardens... More

We reached Dollardstown towards the end of our two-week journey across Ireland and we couldn’t imagine anything can top the extraordinary Irish hospitality we encountered everywhere (well, almost everywhere…), but Andrew and Antoinette managed to do that… surprisingly so, beyond all expectations! They are truly THE BEST hosts anyone can wish for. And their house… wow! ‘guest house’ is an... More

This is an amazing old house, preserving the aristocratic style - a true jewel that anyone will be delighted to discover. Lovely hosts - they send us all needed details to locate the house easier and waited for us with tea and cookies. They even offer us a larger room than the one booked, so we enjoyed a higher comfort... More

We stayed here on our way back North from Kilkenny. A real gem in the heart of Ireland. The first excuse will see us down again as it is so much more than just the usual guest house experience. Really highly recommended. Special thanks to Antoinette for the scones and guidance for our early morning ramble.

We've stayed at several lovely old houses over the years, en route to the Dublin ferry. But Dollardstown House is the loveliest -- and most welcoming -- of all. Andrew and Antoinette have done wonders in restoring their picture-book Queen Anne house. On the evening we arrived Lydia cooked us a delicious dinner, served with great style. Next morning Andrew's... More

Where to start... We stayed at Dollardstown as we had a family wedding close by and Dollardstown was central to most of our family, We stayed for 2 nights but wished we could have stayed longer. The hosts were 2 of the nicest people and went out of their way to make us comfortable and welcome. We had a 8... More

Antoinette welcomed us warmly after our journey and brought warm scones and tea in the comfy lounge. There was a feeling of calm and peace there...The bedroom was comfortable and clean and we were treated to a delicious traditional Irish breakfast. Thanks to Andrew and Antoinette for their hospitality and friendly hotel.

What a wonderful place - from the warm welcome with tea and scones in the [most interesting] garden, delightful room, wonderful dinner [thanks to Lydia for tweaking the menu to make it suitable for my husband]. This is an easy distance from the ferry ports, so is undoubtedly a down setting to be recommended - many thanks to Antoinette and... More
