We found a true gem of Irish hospitality in Dollardstown House. We stayed for 3 nights over the weekend to visit family in Athy. The welcome we received from Andrew and Antoinette was absolutely first class. Nothing was a problem, and my 2 children and I were made to feel right at home. The room was well appointed, and had... We had such a lovely stay at Dollardstown House. It's a really comfortable and relaxing place to be. Antoinette and Andrew were fantastic hosts, always available for anything that was needed but in no way pushy or intrusive. The scones on arrival were great and breakfast next day was really delicious. Beds were really comfortable - and being 7 months... More

We stayed here this week with our grown daughter and her partner, who are experts at finding beautiful, high quality country stays - but Dollardstown House must take the prize. Andrew and Antoinette are the second generation working to restore this lovely, well-proportioned country house, sharing it with lucky travellers as a B &B. We were warmly welcomed by Antoinette... My husband and I, along with another couple, stayed in Dollardstown House last night, From the moment Antoinette opened the door to us we were welcomed with an open heart. Wow M. Thank you so much for sharing you've enjoyed the house, grounds and gardens. We do our best to use as many local and home-made products as we can and this year our little fig-harvest worked out well. I guess we have to plant more fig-trees! Thank you for intending a return visit. Andrew & I are looking forward... More

Stayed here with my girlfriend for the weekend of Electric Picnic festival. (Location 20minutes or so from the festival site.) Booking over the phone I knew Antoinette was very accommodating and hospitable, but actually getting to location and staying there we saw it fully in action. It is such a lovely place - very tranquil and full of character and... More

This was our second stay at Dollardstown House, having been down in 2012 as well. Antoinette and Andrew are so friendly and accommodating and gave us a brilliant welcome back. The room was gorgeous and very comfortable, and the character of the house is amazing. We will be back!
