Having read some glowing reports from other travellers we felt a little let down by our experience. Perhaps we had the wrong room as it was very small and poky -furniture seemed to have been crammed in with little thought as to ease of movement for travellers with large luggage. Bathroom tiny and rather shabby. Overall the place looked a... More

What a lovely place Vera Feeney has! Beautiful gardens, comfortable lodgings. We didn't want to stay in Galway since we were visiting the Aran Islands, and Spiddal was inbetween Galway and Rossavel where we caught the ferry to Inish Mor. Vera cooks up a wonderful breakfast, made to order. She is also very sociable and will give you advice on... More

We had a lovely couple of days at the Ardmore Country House. The grounds are beautiful! The views are breathtaking! And, the hospitality was amazing! Vera saw to our every need. She's an incredible cook and an excellent tour guide. Upon Vera's suggestion, we drove the Connemara Loop. We experienced the western coastline, mountains, many lakes, cows and sheep, and... More

Stayed here for three nights. Our room had a king bed that was very comfortable. The top and bottom sheets didn't match but were clean and the duvet was lovely. The bathroom needed some additional cleaning. The carpet hadn't been vacuumed prior to or during our stay. The entire bathroom and sink (which was outside in the room), needs to... More

As attractive as Ardmor House is on the outside, it doesn't compare with the relaxed elegance inside. Ardmor House is most like a 5-star luxury hotel. My room was large with detailed moldings. The bed linens were exquisite . . . The sink in the room, separate from the bath, was outfitted with 5-star amenities and Abbott and Broome soap.... More

Close enough to Galway but out of the hustle and bustle of the city, Ardmor house was easy to find. Vera welcomed us with a nice pot of tea. She was very helpful on recommending places for dinner. And she was very helpful in her recommendation of The Crystal Factory (which was only a couple of miles away in Moycullen).... More

We found them through the visitors centre in Galway. We were welcomed and settled in. Vera was very helpful in giving us some places to eat at and visit the next day. The rooms were very clean and very quiet. The breakfast was very nice and set us up for the day.

This is a lovely B & B, with wonderful views of the bay and their graden is gorgeous. Our room was a little dated but perfectly clean and on the ground floor so it was easy to get our cases in and out. And having cosmetic face pads and tissues was an added plus for us ladies! The breakfast the... More

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel! Lovely location, close to the bay and a short drive to the ferry to the Aran Islands. The owners of the hotel were very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was wonderful! They let us pack some small cakes/scones for the day as well. A very nice area and fun to walk next to...
