I stayed in Claremount House for a week in Oct 09 and cannot recommend it highly enough. Anna and Stephen, the owners, were spectacularly welcoming, warm and friendly. The house is right on the sea and my room had great views over the bay - as does the dining room - I watched the sun-rise each morning as I tucked... more

My wife & I stayed at Claremount house on our first visit to Galway & found Steven & his wife Anna to be charming, warm & helpful. The rooms were large & comfortable. The view of Galway Bay from our room was spectacular & the delicious breakfasts kept us going all day. There is a lovely walk from Claremmount House... more

My name is Curtis Magee and I am a full time musician and entertainer. When I perform in Galway I always stay at the Claremount In Salthill even though I could stay for free in the fabulous Galway Bay where I perform. Nothing beats the Claremount for Irish hospitality, the rooms are spotless, the beds are comfortable and I just... more

Anna, and her husband, were wonderful hosts. Great welcoming feel. The room was perfect, and the location is just outside galway, and within walking distance of the downtown Salt hill restaurants and attractions. Salthill was a great base for our trip the galway area. Anna recommended the best restaurants and even made a reservation for us. Couldn't ask for more,... more

This was the first B and B we stayed in during our trip to Ireland and it set the standard by which we judged all the following. We were very pleased by the warm welcome and help that was offered, concerning directions, trip advice and even restaurants to visit. Steven called to make a reservation for us at O'Grady's in... more

My 24-year-old daughter & I stayed with Anna & Stephen for 4 nights toward the end of a 15-day European trip. Their wonderfully warm hospitality and GREAT BREAKFASTS were outstanding, even in Ireland where people continue to prove that their first-rate reputation for welcoming & caring for strangers is not a bit of an exaggeration! In addition to many delicious... more

This is a wonderful place to stay when visiting the Galway area. The weather was not so great during our stay, but Anna greeted us with tea and cookies and made us feel right at home. The B&B is right across from Galway Bay and has wonderful views. We were amazed at the people walking along the promenade no matter... more

Having looked at numerous b&b's in galway on the web we chose Claremount House and were not disappointed. Anna greeted us with tea & coffee after a long day's drive, room was fab, bed very comfy, got 3 nights great sleep. Steven was great in telling us where to visit and we would definitely recommend this place. The best of... more
