I had a very pleasant stay in the hotle after a very long day of travelling. Arrived at the hotel and all was well. I had a long day and all I wanted was to go to my room and have a bit of peace. When I arrives at treception I was greeted by a very charming receptionist and in... more

Stayed her e for 2 nights with a friend. It was very nice, upscale, excellent service, great (huge) bar, good breakfast. Very fancy and luxurious to us after staying in casual, but comfortable, B&B's for a week. Is directly across the street from Galway Bay and a short car trip into Galway (maybe 5 minutes or so, depending on traffic).... more

I visited this hotel with 35 extended family for our annual get together and the service and facilities were great. Large, comfortable, clean rooms. Good menu and nice food. Nice large foyer. Helpful reception staff. Lovely breakfast. Right on the seafront with nice views (slightly marred by the carpark!) 20 min walk along the seafront to galway centre. The only... more

I recently took a weekend break with my boyfriend. We stayed 3 nights and had a great time. The room was lovely and lacked nothing. We had an evening meal on the first night and our waitress seemed as though she would rather be anywhere else. I had to ask for a wine menu and the lights went off in... more

Stayed for 1 night early this week, ok hotel, nice reception area and bar, the bedrooms are ok, beds very uncomfortable and basic for the price you pay, maybe there is two parts to the hotel old and new I don't know. The staff we came across were lovely the receptionist was very efficient and friendly and the guy in... more

It was necessary to stay in Salthill one weekend for family funeral. We elected to stay in Salthill Hotel as other family were there. The best rate we could find on a Failte website was, we reckoned, a bit on the high side, however we booked, for 2 nights B&B. Given there is, allegedly, a recession, we had expected lower... more

Very poor service at bar. Surly staff. I live locally went in to order a couple of coffees, no acknowledgement from staff left waiting. Walked out eventually. Poor service, high prices. more

I stayed at this hotel for two nights as part of a tour! Can't say enough positive things about the hotel! The hotel was beautiful! The lobby was impressive and the bar was very relaxing and even had live music! The room was very spacious as it had both double and twin beds. The dinner was fantastic...as was the breakfast!... more

Hotel is in lovely location over looking the sea, hotel seemed to be new but was told that it was renovated and extras build on over past few years, we stayed in a lovley room which had sea view but also over looked a park land. We opted to have bar food on the evening and the fall down here... more
