Carrowkilleen House was a nice, fairly new house out of Kinvara. A good location if you like being out of town, like we do.
Brenda was helpful but we found the place lacked some of the touches of other B&B's we had experienced around Ireland - it was the little touches that added up. Such as no hairdryer in the room (though there was one when we asked), no mirror on wall in the room (apart from the bathroom) - so for two women travelling, it took longer to get ready in the morning. There didn't seem to be a separate sitting area for guests though we were able to use their longe area when we asked. The decor in the room was fairly plain - maybe we had been spoilt by all the lovely linen and frills at other B & Bs by then! more
