A good time was had here, my parents had reccomended it and had very kindly treated my partner and myself to a few nights in Ballynahinch. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and dinners here. Really love the staff, who remembered my parents as regular guests despite the distance my parents face when travelling here from Dublin. The bar... more

Words really cannot do justice to the beauty of the grounds this castle sits on. Its absolutely stunning!! My friend and I stayed one night to celebrate my birthday and we both wished we could stay longer - you really need at least 2 or 3 nights. You will drive till you are in the middle of no where and... more

Unbelievably beautiful property. The rooms are above average, but with no air conditioning, making the summer nights a bit unbearable. We wished we had stayed longer than 2 nights in order to take more advantage of the grounds. Exploring it was the highlight of our stay. Fly fishing would have been cool too. But this magical place lends itself to... more

We were only supposed to be here for a single night ...it was so relaxing, quiet, and beautiful, we opted to 'eat' the cancellation fee in our Galway hotel and stayed an extra night. The room was large and looked out over the Ballynahinch river. There were many walking paths on site that we used for some seriously relaxing exercise!... more

Although the online pictures of this hotel were stunning, the beauty of this hotel and grounds exceeded our expectations. The Twelve Pins are dramatic and the flora surrounding the hotel is gorgeous. The rooms are beautiful and the history of the lodge makes you feel as though you've stepped back in time. You can take lovely hikes directly from the... more

We arrived in the late afternoon, checked in and spent a few hours walking on the gorgeous trails along the river. The rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated and well appointed. We splurged for the 60 Euro dinner, but everything was top notch, from the fresh, sweet fish to the service of coffee and petit fours in the lounge by the... more

The setting for Ballynahinch Castle is something like you would see in a fairy tale. There is a sizable stream on one side of the castle and a mountain on the other. The castle is off the beaten path, which makes it all that more charming. Our room was a very large, well layed out suite. We found it to... more

The beauty of the surroundings is inspirational - the castle itself is a step into the past. The welcome and quality of service is top drawer making this a most desirable spot to visit. We enjoyed tremendous fine dining - the waiting staff were attentive and knowledgeable and breakfast was superb. more

We stayed here for 3 nights and had an amazing honeymoon. The grounds are breathtaking, food is excellent and we loved our room at the waters edge with doors leading out to it from our room. We ate every night in the restaurant which is sublime. Breakfasts however were rather lame, decent enough buffet but boring fried selection if you... more

The castle itself was beautiful, situated on a beautiful river overlooking mountains. We stayed in room 1, which was the largest room on the floor. King size bed (two doubles pushed together),separate changing room and updated bathroom. Flat screen TV was nice. The room was comfortable but the view was terrible, overlooking the parking lot. It wasn't as quiet as... more
