We've visited Inisbofin a number of times and The Dolphin, from our first visit to the island, has always been a favourite to enjoy a meal. Friendly staff, delicious food and a stunning location...couldn't wish for better.

We made a last minute decision to spend a night on Inishbofin during a visit last summer in a stretch of lovely weather. However the clouds rolled in as we rode the ferry out to the island. We still managed to have an enjoyable visit and The Dolphin Hotel was a good refuge from the lashing rains that developed after... More

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at the Dolphin Hotel. I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay and found your room spotlessly clean and comfortable. We pride ourselves on our friendly service and warm island welcome. I apologise if your breakfast was below the high standard we normally provide. Each breakfast is freshly cooked to... More

Great hotel and staff, from the time we arrived until we left it was 5 star treatment, food was terrific too. Room was large and had a lovely deck area out the front which had lovely views of the lush green hills. No entertainment on the nights we were there but a sing song started in the bar

I stayed here on one of the Birdwatching Breaks organised by the Dolphin Hotel. I can highly recommend both the hotel and the Birdwatching Break. We were collected from the ferry by Pat from the hotel. Our room was modern, clean and very comfortable. It was on the first floor - facing the hostel next door and was very quiet... More

The Dolphin is everything you want on an island like Inishbofin. We stayed for 2 nights in August as 3 couples. We came to have a another beautiful and relaxing holiday but also to see Declan O Rourke who was playing in the hotel on our first night's stay. Pat from the hotel, who is mentioned numerous times here, met... More

Had a brilliant weekend here in May - Pat and staff were absolutely fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. The food was lovely and service excellent. Beautiful area for walking and enjoying the outdoors - it's one of the few places the corncrake can be heard . We felt like we were old friends, although we hadn't been there... More

Nothing was a problem to the owners of this family run hotel from the friendly greeting at the pier to the friendly good byes at the pier .We stayed for three nights and we were slowly tempted to stay for a few more... I dont usually write reviews but this place deserves one! A gang of lads went out to Inisboffin this weekend for a stag party. We stayed in the Dolphin Hotel. We were picked up by Pat in his minibus and brought to the hotel. It was fairly apparant early on that Pat was a character and a half but professional... More

Our trip to Inishbofin was magical and staying at the Dolphin Hotel was the icing on the cake. Fabulous room, with our own little deck with lovely views. Our host Pat picked us up from the boat and drove us the short distance to his hotel, gave us a great welcome. Dinner was excellent and served by our cheerful host.
