We spent 4 nights with Teresa and felt we were cared for by a treasured friend. She truly cared that our holiday was pleasant and recommended local places to eat, shop, visit, and even get a flat tire fixed. The heating blanket was a nice touch for our comfortable beds. If I return to Ireland, this will defintely be my... More

Karaun House is a very charming cottage, the garden at the back is very beautiful, and our hostess Teresa is a very sweet lady and a wonderful cook, assisted by her charming husband Denny, she cooked us breakfast of french toasts which were really awesome. We also got recommended Moran Oyster Cottage which was great, we really enjoyed the food... More

We stayed at Karaun House – a 2-storey B&B – for 1 night in late July, 2011. Pros: It's only 15 mins. (or less) of a drive southwest of downtown Galway. It has very pretty environs – the perfect distance away to enjoy the city, but not feel cramped by it. (Note: this B&B looks less quaint by its approach than it... More

We've spend a week at Karaun House for holidays and it was the perfect place to visit Galway, the Burren and the Connemarra. Teresa had made us a warm welcome and we really enjoy our trip. We recommand this B&B specialy for the quiet, the breakfast and the kindness of the hostess.

Very nice B & B and with lovely Hostess . Clean tidy home with comfortable beds and awesome breakfast. Situated on a delightful lane which ambles down to the cove.

Our party of 4 (2 couples) stayed at Teresa's comfy and charming home for our first 2 nights of a near two-week visit to Ireland. She is a most hospitable hostess. The food is spectacular, and I particularly appreciated her attention to my gluten-free dining needs. The rooms were comfortable, clean and well-equipped. Karaun house's location was perfect for touring... More

In so many ways this was like staying at my Grandma's house. The food was really good, probably the best french toast I've ever had, and our hostess was really nice, but from the reviews I'd read, I was expecting a lot more from the room. The beds (supposedly orthopedic, but ours definitely wasn't) were really uncomfortable, the worst on... More

We had a lovely stay at Karaun House. We arrived in time for a late dinner, and Teresa was very helpful in directing us to a great seafood pub that was nearly 300 years old, and a 15 minute walk from the b & b. The rooms were comfortable, the bathrooms kind of small, but not a problem. Breakfast was... More

We were made to feel very welcome. The owner Teresa is a Coeliac (as was 1 of our 3 travellers). She looked after this to a high standard during breakfast. The house and gardens are set in quiet lovely surroundings. We would not hesitate to stay there again should we tour Ireland again.

We very much enjoyed our stay with Teresa at Karaun House on St Paddy's Day. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and our hostess was most charming and friendly. Teresa fixed us a great breakfast with homemade breads and hotcakes. If you are lucky, and it's a special occasion, perhaps she will give you some apple tart!
