A few tips for a visit to Inis Meain: take the cab from the port, eat the Inis Meain restaurant and stay with Wilma at Tigh Congaile. With a view to Inis Oirr and the mainland, this is a delightful spot. Wilma and Anna Maria looked after our needs and the breakfast was delicious with wonderful coffee. One other tip:... More

Vilma gave us a great welcome to her charming guest house and happened to come across us as we made our way from the boat which was handy! Her house is close by the old pier and the lovely Tra Leitreach beach, it's just a ten minute walk up to the pub and post office. The rooms were very good.... More

Vilma, the B&B owner, was a great host and a fabulous cook. Although Guatemalan, she speaks fluent English. She and her husband, a native of Inishmann, have really interesting life stories. Our first night there, we had crab bisque and a crab pasta dish. We were sorry to miss her husband who wasn't there during our 3-day stay in early... More

Arrived on the island recently with my wife and not only was the weather warm and sunny but so was the welcome we received from Vilma, her daughter, and her staff. We like to visit the islands off our coasts and this is one we will revisit very soon again made all the more special by the people living on... More

Lovely family, great food, fabulous location. Reflexology wonderful and island beautiful! Even in bad weather we still loved our trip, especially the food from the families garden and the sea... Home smoked fish and fresh breads, morning tortilla and warm buns. Adored the fresh herbal teas.

This was a brief, retreat-style visit to Inis Meáin. Vilma and her daughter were very welcoming and their B&B is a comfortable and relaxed place to stay. My room was bright, airy and spotless. Views from the dining room were very beautiful! The view on my plate - equally good. I would highly recommend the food, definitely book your evening... More

My first review ever..... Tig Congaile was part of a breathtaking trip to Inis Meáin and I couldn't imagine having stayed anywhere else. I arrived off the boat and there was a taxi option but I chose to walk the 30 minutes which took a bit longer with me taking everything around me in. They were very welcoming and friendly... More

I'm just back from a magical weekend on Inis Meain celebrating a close friends big birthday. The bulk of the party stayed in the spectacular Inis Meain Suites but the party was too large and on recommendation from the Suites five of us booked in with Vilma in Tig Congaile and it is a truely wonderful gem of a B&B.... Tig Congaile represents a diametrical experience to its Inishmaan surroundings. Located 10 miles from mainland Ireland, Inishmaan is life at its Gaelic simplest, a throwback to a century ago, yet the comforts and cuisine at Tig Congaile make for a perfectly relaxed tourists' visit. The force behind Tig Congaile is Vilma Conneely, a warm hotelier and outstanding chef. Vilma's talents... More

About 12 of us stayed on Inis Meain on St. Patrick's weekend, and about half our group stayed in Tig Congaile. I was one of them. Your hospitality was excellent Vilma! Our room was comfortable and warm. It was a cold weekend. You cooked a beautiful meal for all of our crew on one of the nights. I'm coeliac and... More
