Stayed here for two nights, room was ok, dated but clean and everything worked for us. Dinner in restaurant amazing but was taken aback in the morning to see a woman in breakfast room in dressing gown and pyjamas, very offputting. Noticed one or two more strange looking people hanging around so this has put us off returning there.

Let's get the good part out of the way first. The young lady who does 99% of everything was very efficient. Then you enter another dimension. Wallpaper garishly painted, two designs overlapping on the stair walls. Ancient carpets, dirty skirting, ripped curtains and jumble sale furniture. The invitation menus in the room were in dirty folders, the paper stained and crumpled. Apparently a... More

Deciding to go on a short break to Skerries, and not finding a hotel in the immediate area, booked with Redbank.. Sadly, if I were to do it again, I would have stayed in Dublin city and taken a day trip out to Skerries.. Firstly was a bit bemused at the welcome..felt like I was enlisting in a camp of... More

We are use to 4* plush ,modernised hotels but For the price with breakfast included you cannot complain. The lady who's name we didn't get seemed to do everything, from checking in, serving breakfast etc but was always happy and welcoming. Yes the rooms are dated, the TV is old, but we're not on holiday to stay in the room.... More

My husband and I stayed very recently at Redbank. Our room was very comfortable and clean but most worthy of note was the exception food. We had our dinner in the restaurant both nights and were very impressed. Location of the Redbank is perfect for enjoying the delights of Skerries. A very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

No open door - you have to ring the bell for access. Bedroom full of musty, old furniture. My ribs took time to recover from the springs in the mattress. 3 spookily empty restaurant rooms - probably no long in its heyday. Location ideal for early airport access next morning.

While on a recent trip to North Dublin with my partner, I booked this guesthouse via booking.com. I did read the reviews first but I tend not to take too much notice of other peoples' reviews as they can often be very subjective. That said, I wasn't expecting much especially as the cost for the night incl breakfast was only... More

This establishment came as a recommendation from a friend who had stayed previously and said it was great. Perhaps my interpretation of great is different, but our one night stay left us a little luke-warm. For a B&B the room was of a decent size, but cold. Bathroom was clean, but the hot water was temperamental. Check in wasn't very... More

Not what it says on the tin living on past glory me thinks. Stayed recently room only rate for 40 euro so I was not expecting much. Had breakfast the next day to be charged 30 euro extra. I was absolutely livid. How they can possible charge you 30 euro for a mediocre breakfast is beyond me. The front of... More

Reminded me of faulty towers - very dark old and worn furnishings with a musty smell, not very comfortable for staying in the room at all. The mattress was horrible and felt like it was there since day one. Final "highlight" was the cracked bath tub, which was patched with a strip of silicone, but was giving under weight. I... More
