We stayed here recently after a long day shopping. I booked it primarily for the restaurant as I heard great things about it in the past. The atmosphere and staff were great. We decided to eat at 6pm and I'm glad we did as the tables were starting to fill up. I enjoyed the food - tasty above average bar... More

I was worried at first having read previous negative reviews about the noise.Maybe we were lucky with our room but the noise of the trains did not disturb us. First the negatives: noisy plumbing from time to time. as rooms are on ground floor they can be a bit dingy . bedside lights would have been useful bathroom door didn't... More

If you want a quiet location, this is it. If you want a popular restaurant with better than average food and a good buzz, this is it, if you want a quaint setting this is it, if you want a bar thats lively again this is it. If you want this coupled to a great hotel.....this is not quite it.... More

My Mum and I stayed here for 2 nights when I took her on her first ever flight. She chose Dublin. We wanted to stay a little outside Dublin, to have a bit of peace & quiet. The staff are really pleasant and want to help you whenever needed. The rooms are basic and a bit dark and, as others... More

We stayed here for 3 nights over St Patrick's weekend. The hotel is a little difficult to find, but it is worth it when you get there. The rooms were pretty spacious, clean andtastefully decorated. They came with all the trimmings, safety deposit box, minibar, toiletries etc. The beds were really comfy, but the pillows left a little to be... More

Don't stay here if you want to sleep. The noise from the bar directly over the room we were in went on until the early hours (3am on saturday night). There was continual noise from outside the room, loud voices, footsteps and doors banging. Overall the whole room was very dated and the bathroom is in need of a complete... More

I have been here over 30 times at this stage and feel this place has never let me down when it comes to great food and comfortable surroundings . Staff are very friendly and prices are not over the odds for what you get. Plenty of off road car park spaces. Lovely view along the canal and if you fancy... More

The twelfth lock is a lovely pub. It's has a great outdoor area for those rare occasions when we get a bit of good weather. The food is nice and it's good value too. There's plenty of choice on the menu. I have been here a few times and have always been happy!

Did a 1 night stay here as a stopover coming back from holidays abroad. We were feeling tired and hungry from our travelling. Room was small but comfy for our needs. Restaurant food was excellent. Loved the setting of this hotel, by the canal. The negative - our room was by the railway line, maybe bring earplugs next time.... yes... More
