This is a small hotel, based at the side of the Canal, near Castleknock village, with Canal views at the front. There is a railway running at the back of the hotel, but this has never bothered us, as we only ever eat there. The Phoenix Park, with Dublin Zoo and Cricket, Polo Grounds and tourist hop-on hop-off buses is... More

We are frequent visitors to the 12th lock and it never disappoints. The food is great for pub grub and there's a really friendly atmosphere and great staff. On hot days there is a lovely beer garden over looking the canal. Great spot! Good selection of beers available too.

I booked this hotel over the Internet for a 2 night stay with my brother and didn't have any idea whether it was going to be good or bad. It was a fairly short journey from the airport and parking at the hotel was ample. I loved the location and the rooms were spacious and more than adequate. The bed... More

Ate here last week on a Thursday evening and had not been here in a long time.Ambience is very good and it was very busy. Staff are really helpful and pleasant. Good choice of food-We had fish and a burger. Portions very big but tasty... Desserts are to die for! My only quibble is that the bathrooms appear very clean... More

16.00 euro for a steak sandwich& chips. Frozen chips immediately set off alarm bells for me. Any meal above 12.00 euro should b accompanied by homemade chips ! Portion of chicken wings, overcooked and dried out ... Zero flavour at a not cheap price of 10.00 euro. Small positive was the fish albeit with the standard house frozen chips... An... More

Stopped here for a meal with my young daughter and two friends. Ordered a bar meal and service was good and efficient. Very friendly staff and accommodated my daughter with childs portions. Food was lovely and nicely presented. Would return for a midday pit stop. The walk beside the hotel along the canal is a photographers dream.

Bo oked via booking.com the day prior to arriving. Arrived to stay in our room at midnight after being out for dinner for the evening. Only to be told that they would not accept cash as a payment. I wasnt made aware of this upon booking. I had to stand there and argue the toss until eventually he agreed to... More

Upstairs a great pub / restaurant - downstairs - a small number of neat, quiet rooms. We had a long day on the road and booked at the last minute. Room very warm & clean - good firm mattress. Breakfast was really excellent. Would be really nice in the summer - as it is on the canal. Highly recommended

Stayed at this hotel for the weekend. Rooms are spotless. Meals in the bar was first class. Staff really friendly... About 15 mins to the airport, set on a loch, clost to Blanchstown shopping centre. would stay again.
