We were lucky enough to get a night away. From the outside the Twelfth Lock looks amazing. It has a really nice bar, nice food and pleasant staff. However our room looked directly onto a wall and a little noisy with the railway. Our main issue was, we returned to the room after a nice meal and got ready for... More

This is a very friendly hotel which we return to when visiting Dublin. The food is good, there's a lively bar, and easy access by train into Dublin. Special mention this time for a waitress called Magda. My husband mistook a 50 € note for a 10 €.She ran after him as we were leaving the restaurant and gave him... More

I have been using this hotel for over two years while on business in Ireland and frankly just keep coming back to it because I know the welcome that awaits me after a tough day in the market place. Very competitively priced for so close to Dublin, this small bijou hotel has food to die for. Would you believe me... More

Had a special family meal here without making a booking. Staff friendly and welcoming. Food was good and arrived without much of a wait, even though they were very busy. Large outdoor area with a small garden. Lovely to walk along the canal after the meal.

We were picking up relatives early sat morning from Dublin airport & decided to come up night before. This seemed a good spot since close to Blanchardstown & to M50 for airport. It suited our needs. Small hotel but quant. Bar was nice & had a good buzz about it. Rooms were adequate - the only thing being could get... More

My family have eaten in the twelfth lock bar many times and have been very pleased with the food and ambiance. However we brought friends that were visiting from Mayo last thursday night. They had their 13 year old son with them and after our meal was finished we were asked to vacate the premises because we had a "... More

We stayed here recently after a long day shopping. I booked it primarily for the restaurant as I heard great things about it in the past. The atmosphere and staff were great. We decided to eat at 6pm and I'm glad we did as the tables were starting to fill up. I enjoyed the food - tasty above average bar... More

I was worried at first having read previous negative reviews about the noise.Maybe we were lucky with our room but the noise of the trains did not disturb us. First the negatives: noisy plumbing from time to time. as rooms are on ground floor they can be a bit dingy . bedside lights would have been useful bathroom door didn't... More
