We stayed at the Malin only one night and found it to be a charming boutique hotel. Our triple room was pretty tight but clean and comfortable. The bar & restaurant were both very nice. Staff were efficient and hard working as we noticed several of them taking on a variety of responsibilities within the hotel. (i.e.the front desk person... More

We stayed for 2 nights. Our room wasn't big but it was sufficient for sleeping in and everywhere was spotless. As mentioned before there is a lot of red in the corridors but you get used to it, it didn't bother us. We enjoyed the food, a good selection at breakfast and also in the restaurant and bar. The staff... More

Nice wee boutique hotel. Not what you would expect to find in Donegal.quirky and comfortable.we only ate breakfast as we were at a wedding elsewhere. but it was the nicest menu and was table served.nice bar which is popular. room was French country style with design led furnishings, bed comfortable. staff friendly and helpful.we will be back.

Stayed here 25th and 26th August in the family room (12). Booked through a coupon deal £78 for 2 nights b&b,welcome drinks and late checkout. Staff welcoming and friendly, hotel is "traditional" Donegal not decorated and fitted out like the chain brands. Room fantastic, clean, comfortable and had everything you need. Breakfast good,no complaints. Bar area cosy and chilled out. Definitely a... More

On arrival had a big job finding someone to check us in but when we did things got better. We had requested a room at the front and were given the bridal suite! It was a fairly standard room but had a great bathroom with free standing bath.Dinner was poor, like below standard pub food in a really dark dining room.Staff in the... Stayed for a weekend and had a very enjoyable stay. When we checked in to room there was a problem with bathroom door neither staying closed or locking. Reported this to reception and maintenance man was called and arrived within five minutes to repair it!! Very impressive for a Saturday evening. All the bar and waiting staff were very pleasant... Stayed at the Malin Hotel with my wife, 30th/31st July 2014. Had to go hunting for a member of staff to check in as no one around. However, staff are very friendly and helpful and make you feel at home. Got room 20 which I would say smelled of damp when first entering it. Room and shower room where fine... More

Stopped off to eat in Malin Hotel on August Bank Holiday (4th August). The waitress who served us is a credit to the establishment, very helpful and friendly. The food, while reasonably priced was mediocre. I had Caesar Salad, it had 4 breaded chicken goujons which were over cooked in deep fat fryer. Chunky chips were not at all chunky... More

I visited the hotel last night with six friends for the Bohemian High Tea. I had booked it as a surprise for one of them who is getting married soon and I have only one word to describe it - Superb! Everything was beautiful, gorgeous crockery and water glasses, beautiful cake stands and displays and the food was beautiful. There... More
