We definitely would go back & would recommend anyone to stay here. Rooms were fine, clean & bed comfortable but more than anything Mary & Hugh made us very welcome & we were able to sit in the lounge after dinner out & have our nightcap. Breakfast was served in a friendly & efficient manner. We were made to feel... More

Stayed here while we were doing a run round the west coast on the motorcycles. Mary and Hugh are lovely, only in the door and shown our room, before we had tea and coffee in front of us with a plate of food. Rooms were good sized with ensuite, well decorated and very clean. Coffee making facilities in room, hairdryer,... More

We went to Avalon B&B in Glenties this summer. Mary and Hugh are nice and excellent hosts. They have a very cosy house. We assure that coeliac people have breakfast as if they are at their own home, and that Mary's homemade cakes and breads are delicious.

We stayed two nights and we could not have asked for a better host and hostess in Mary and Hugh. We arrived and were offered tea and home made bread and jam and were asked did we want more, you wont get this in an anonymous hotel. Breakfast, all you can eat with decent tea which is sometimes hard to get... More

We received such a warm greeting from Mary and Hugh that I felt like we were visiting family. The rooms were a nice size and quite comfortable. They've invested in the property in recent years with new bathrooms and a lovely outdoor seating surrounded by roses. They had toiletries available and working TVs in the room where we were able... A lovely guest house nestled in the hillside going out of Glenties. Mary and Hugh were wonderful hosts and helped my Mum and I with local knowledge of the area and really looked after us. The room was top notch and the breakfast was delicious! I will be coming back and soon I hope...
