Every time we checkout we want to rebook for our next visit! Great reputation for seafood but steak and duck are also suburb. Sorry to spoil the surprise...wonderful breakfast, including homemade granola - spectacular dining room.

Although the food, view, and atmosphere were incredible, I was disappointed at their unwillingness to accommodate us with our small child. After a very long day of travel we wanted to relax in the room and let our child relax as well. They would not allow the restaurant food to be taken to our room, and also made a fuss... More

Just back from another great evening staying at castle Murray. Superb hosting by fabrice and the owner Margarette . We had yet again the prawn and monkfish starter as we can never go past it. Shouldn't be any other starter on the menu ! Saying that we could have eaten them all. I had a beautiful turbot dish for mains.... More

Look no further that this little boutique hotel for the ultimate in Cuisine and Hospitality. We stayed here one night on our way for short break to Lough Eske Castle. We got the last room following a cancellation. The room was quite small and the only blemish on an otherwise wonderful experience and deprived the hotel of our full 5 rating.... More

First things first - this is not a formulaic modern hotel with a spa, huge rooms with an LCD TV covering one wall with 300 television & radio channels. This is a wonderful restaurant that happens to be located in a beautiful location with really nice rooms to relax after your meal. The staff are very friendly and seem to... More

I treat my husband every year for his birthday to a meal and overnight stay in Castlemurray and we went last weekend. Weather was glorious ,so beautiful views over the bay and a lovely walk after a delicious breakfast on Sunday. Food was amazing from start to finish and the house wine superb. Worth a visit for the cocktails alone... More

One of our favourite paces and "dog friendly", gorgeous views and a warm welcome. Wonderful food and a spirit bar that would tempt a Saint. Not cheap but we have never felt over-charged, so I would call that value for money. Our "go-to" place when we want to hide away for a few days.

If views, friendly staff, astounding location, feeling a part of the area you are visiting, views, the ability to have your animal with you and efficient administration of the details of checking in and checking out matter to you, and did I mention views, you would probably consider giving Castle Murray House a "5/Excellent" rating. If you tend to focus... More

We stayed here as a group of 10 for a birthday celebration. The location is perfect. You can't beat the view from the restaurant and lounge area over bruckless bay even in changeable weather. Perfect base for south Donegal, 20 to 30 mins drive to slieve league, ardara, Donegal town. The bedrooms are comfortable and again have super views though... More

11 miles outside of Donegal town, Castle Murray House is a terrific spot to stay as well as dine. Castle it is not.... but a two story building overlooking the sea and farmland that is as quiet a setting as one could ask for. The only sound we heard was of nearby cows in their pasture and a delivery lorry... More
