Castle Murray is a charming 10 bedroom hotel with an excellent restaurant in a beautiful part of the world. The rooms are a little smaller than one would expect in the bigger hotel chains. I would not let that worry me as our room (no. 2) was very comfortable. The bed, the duvet, the decor, the bathroom, the flat screen... More

Just had a one night stay but breathtaking view. A supremely good seafood menu served by knowledgable and pleasant staff. We had a front room at the top of the house which could have been more spacious and slightly outdated. However this did not detract from the quiet and calm of Castle Murray. We shall return!

We stayed at this hotel for a few days as part of a holiday in Ireland. The hotel was very good - the room was clean and well-equipped, with a sort of sea view from the side of the house. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient, and the meals in the restaurant were excellent all the time we... More

This was a very pleasant surprise. We were there for just one night on our trip along the Atlantic Way. The hotel and restaurant sits on a quiet road on St. John's Point. It has an incredible view and is surrounded by farmland and beautiful countryside. In my reservation I asked for a room with a view and we had... More

I have stayed here about 7 times and it never disappoints! The food is fantastic and consistent, the staff are so helpful and offer a personal friendly service. The rooms are attractive and clean. I love to have one of the rooms with a sea view. We were there yesterday and it was lovely that they remembered it was my... More

Another classic trip tp CM. Beautiful room with the usual magnificent views. The afternoon tea was lovely. The dinner was superb!! Breakfasts are as a la carte, what is not to like about this homely hotel with staff who are par excellence! Well worth the treat! and surprisingly good value for money. Once again to all thanks for a relaxingly lovely... More

We have a holiday house in Glencolmcille so it was an extravagance to stop off here en route for weekend away.. It is so easy to forget just how effortlessly good Castle Murray is. The dinner was first class fine dining and the level of comfort in such an out of the way setting ensures that we will be back... More

Exquisite inn with a fabulous restaurant. The view of the sea from our room, the lounge and the restaurant is truly breathtaking. The staff was exceptionally kind and helpful, even with my ipad connection to their free Wi-Fi. Loved everything about this inn.

As I only live in the village of Dunkineely I've never stayed over at the hotel, but always pop in for tea/coffee & scones when my in laws and visitors come to stay. Today we tried the afternoon tea & it was just delicious! The sandwiches were fresh & the scones were just out of the oven. As for the... More

Although this hotel/ restaurant deserves a high rating on most criteria, its claim to accommodate a pet proved to be misleading. A list of terms and conditions covered a few specifics, none of which was that a dog should not bark ( mine barked occasionally, not continuous barking and never during the night). Beware that pet owners could be asked... More
