The staff make this place a great place to stay; excellent service was consistent. Otherwise, although the room's are comfortable and clean, the building's actually a little tired and due a refurbishment. Wonderful setting though, although after a long day of walking, the slog one mile uphill to the pub is a long one.

Stayed three nights at Bunbeg House with two colleagues on a walking tour. Despite arriving late on the first night we were given a warm welcome on our arrival and shown to our three rooms. The rooms were clean, large and comfortable although the decor was a little dated. The ensuite shower-room was also large and had all we needed... More

I was touring with my elderly mum and found Bunbeg house just by chance by following the harbour sign. We only stayed for one night as we moved around daily. A good night sleep although the noise of the plumbing was heard from other rooms at times. Breakfast was excellent. only met the hostess who was lovely. I've given a... More

I stayed at Bunbeg House in June for one night and thought it was very nice, I would highly recommend it. The staff were very friendly and welcoming which made the stay very enjoyable. Facilities wise the bed and breakfast had a quiet communal room, very nice bar and restaurant area which would be perfect for anyone interested in a... More

Me and my brother booked a night (2 rooms) here during our tour of the north of Ireland. On our arrival we were greeted by the host Andrew, who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. He comes originally from London, so we had something in common. The hotel being located besides a very quiet harbour, it goes without... More

My elderly father in law and I stayed at Bunbeg House from 17th to 20th June ( 3 nights ). I had not been to Gweedore in almost 20 years and was looking forward immensely to this break. On arrival I was greeted by the daughter of the house who had the warmest of welcomes which was wholly genuine. Her... More

Stayed here for a night, The welcome was so warm, the stairs to the rooms is a death trap, the room was clean but like taking a trip back to the early 80s. No shower gel or shampoo just some Lidl soap. A tiny old style portable tv near the ceiling. On the upside the breakfast was wonderful, freshly cooked... More

Myself and two friends stayed at Bunbeg House for three nights and could not fault the place. Jean,Andrew and family were the perfect hosts, and took time to chat and make one feel very welcome. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them. The hotel is situated on the harbourside at Bunbeg, which is an an idyllic setting. The Irish breakfast... More

We stayed in several B&B's throughout Northern Ireland/Donegal and this was the one we liked the least. I must start by saying the hosts were very pleasant, and the morning porridge tasty, but otherwise were disappointed. We had made a reservation online and they seemed to be caught by surprise when we came with the reservation. I realize that it... More

The B&B is near the very beautiful, sheltered harbour of Bunbeg. The nearest pub, where Irish is spoken regularly, is only a few hundred meters up the road. A nice walking trail through this part of Gaoth Dobhair is also nearby. But back to the B&B: The host's are very nice and they prepare you a cooked breakfast for free,... More
