We loved staying here! The staff were really nice and accommodating and our room was great. It was a very quaint, Irish countryside experience and one of our favourite places to stay! We did not eat lunch or dinner here so I cannot comment on the food but we did have a great breakfast! I would recommend this place if... More

Looking forward to out Sunday lunch in the Abbey Tavern we both ordered roast lamb. The lamb that arrived was very thinly sliced and evenly cut so it had to be machine cut. If you are an experienced chef you will carve your meet yourself. This had to be purchased by the restaurant precut. So disappointing, I expected better from... More

I went to The Abbey Tavern for a work night out yesterday evening and the meal was fabulous! I have been thinking about it all day. We had a mix of starters (the duck spring rolls were yum), then I had the Halibut (beautiful, very soft and nicely spiced) and had the ice cream as desert. I can't wait to... More

The facility was top notch and we were made feel very welcome from the very start, the staff were very helpful with our questions of where to visit in the area and recommended things to do and see, the food there was exquisite and the beds where very cosy, would recommend it to anyone.

Let me tell you of a delicious Sunday lunch. Nothing can compare. The quality of fine meat and fish beautifully cooked and served with delightful accompanying vegetables was top class. Quin is a beautiful rural location set in rich fertile land. Although a storm was forecast and there were squally winds the journey from Cork was so well worth it.... More

My wife and our two sons visited Ireland this August and I wanted to be in Quin, where my family came from for my birthday. Not knowing anything about 2013 being the year of the Gatherings, we just so happened to be there the weekend of the Clune Gathering in Quin. Our first night we got to the Abbey Tavern... More

We had a large family group here for lunch, service and food were excellent and young children well catered for, including colouring pages on the reverse of kids menu which kept them busy. We had a short wait for a table despite having a reservation, but the place was very busy. Fishcake starter was only ok but main courses were... More

We spent a night at the Abbey Tavern and my only regret is that we didn't stay there longer! After arriving in Quin we drove around looking for a place to stay. We happened to come across the Abbey Tavern. My fiance and I were traveling with my parents and we were hoping to get 2 rooms. As we walked... More

We stopped for lunch after visiting the Abbey which is directly across the road. Only the barman was on duty, but he made us welcome and served us. My three companions enjoyed their soup while I dove into the Apple Crumble with Vanilla Custard Sauce. It was served hot and was excellent. I highly recommend visiting and enjoying their food.

Had an early dinner today with my husband and our nearly 1 year old daughter...at 230, it was still quite full, which is always a good sign :) The girls were all fabulous, as was the food! We had 2 starters (the mushroom and herb soup comes highly recommended!), 2 mains, drinks and a baby bowl (free of charge btw)... More
