we had lunch there, one of us had the daily special and one of us is coeliac and had to choose off the main menu. The waitress was coeliac aware and friendly, helpful staff, It was busy still at 2pm when we arrived. The food was excellent.

Staid here for 3 days / 2 nights and had a wonderful time with Mark and his staff. Rooms are good, with a beautiful view. Food is really incredible, almost eat the plate! During the evening meeting the local people for a drink makes this stay unforgettable. Mark thanks for your support and hope to see you again.

Very nice place with a nice atmosphere. Right across from the Abbey and St Mary's Church. The food is fantastic and Magella took great care of us. If you're looking for a quick bite or a long meal, I'd recommend it.

We often eat here - the service is unfailingly friendly, and the food is usually excellent. The chef can occasionally have an off day, but odds are you'll be superbly fed. On this occasion, we ate at a larger table than usual - they've pushed two small tables together to make room for the Christmas tree that's now up. The... More

We were looking for an authentic pub to eat with some good food and a tavern owner in a nearby town recommended The Abbey Tavern. What a treat it turned out to be. The service was phenomenal, the food delicious and lots of it and the atmosphere was just what we were looking for. They have done a great job... More

We were going to look at a castle nearby and decided to drive up the night before. It was late we were hungry and stumbled upon this place. The food was absolutely amazing and great price. I had stuffed lamb with veggi and potatoes. The Guiness was great and atmosphere amazing. We ended up staying the night for B and... More

I have the 'pleasure' (and this is an understatement) of staying on a regular basis in the B&B above the Tavern. Mark & his fantastic staff look after me with greater care and attention to detail then any 'multi-stared' hotel I have stayed in to date. The atmosphere in the bar generated by the locals is one which would encourage... More

We went to The Abbey Tavern on the recommedation of our hosts in Sixmile Bridge. We enjoyed a drink at the bar while the crowd was watching the National Hurling Championships-something we didnt understand but enjoyed the patrons enthusiasm:) The servers quickly cleared off a booth when it was empty and sat us graciously. We truly felt welcome! Fresh fish,... More

From the moment we arrived at The Abbey Tavern to the moment we left, Mark and the staff were absolutely fantastic, nothing was too much trouble Situated directly opposite the Abbey ruins in the heart of Quin village as we drove up to the tavern the outside areas were clean and welcoming. On entering we were immediately met by Mark... More
