Stayed at Shannon Cottage after a week+ at Carrigaholt and environs. Easy to find, very quiet, a beautiful town, and a nice (Old Mill) practically within rolling distance of the door. A very good breakfast as well. Room was clean and the price reasonable. Highly recommended if you want a quiet b&b.

This place was filthy. There were used cups in the room, the electric pot for heating water was disgusting, the floor was grungy, the bed's mattress was so bad that I had a painful, sleepless night. Don't believe the 45 minute drive from Shannon airport. Read the refund policy very closely. They will take your money without providing any service.
