This is definitely the BEST hotel in Knoxville. It's full of charm and history, and is set in the perfect location for taking in and enjoying downtown Knoxville. The hotel has done an outstanding job keeping the history of the building alive while incorporating plenty of modern and local decor throughout. The bedding is very comfortable and the bathrooms are... More

Outside is awesome. Inside small but efficient. Room small. Bed wonderful. Bathroom a little dark by mirror but super bright in shower. Noise was okay. We had a room 2nd room facing square and I could see it being a little noisy on a Friday, Saturday night but we were there on a Sunday and was fine.

Very personal attention during our stay. Satisfied even though I had high expectations from a previous stay. Clean, cool, and in Market Square for a quick brunch and enjoying the outdoors or window shopping.

We just stayed at The Oliver for a one night stay on our way to Blackberry Farm and LOVED it. It is centrally located in Market Square and is a well maintained and modern boutique hotel. The rooms look fairly newly renovated with all the modern amenities you would need. The restaurant downstairs - Tupelo, is NOT your average hotel... More

We love The Oliver. The location is perfect with easy access to everything downtown Knoxville. Market Square is full of restaurants and shops, and Gay Street is a block over. The Oliver offers valet parking, but you can also park for free at the Market Square garage on the weekend and it is right around the corner.

The hotel is in a perfect location, we could walk to everywhere we wanted to go. We were hoping for a night away without the kids, however, there were kids down the hall that ran up and down the hall all night. It sounded like they were in the room with us. The street noise was very loud too and... More

We we're in town for a performance at the stunning Tennessee Theater and chose the Oliver because of its location. By the time we were fully in the door and had been greeted by the moustache-man and bow tie-guy, we were fans! Comfortable bed and nicely appointed, though a bit small, room. Don't miss sampling the barkeeps skills in the... More

very clean and large room (king size bed), nice bathroom (too bad we did not see that they could provide small shampoo bottle because the one in the shower was difficult to use and required lots of patience to have enough shampoo for long hair - same with the gel). this was so minor. we will stay there again when... I chose the Oliver because I was sick of the chain commercial hotels. I travel for a living and every hotel begins to look the same. The Oliver is a charming, cozy hotel in a prize location in downtown Knoxville. I stayed in a suite overlooking Market Square. Don't be surprised that the noise from Market Square comes through the... More
