Quaint spot close to great bars and restaurants. Road and parking were a complete mess but staff was very helpful and accommodating. Had a king suite that was eclectic and well appointed. Great bath and shower. Would have been perfect for a longer stay. Only complaint was the bed was not particularly comfortable although nice linens etc helped. The Peter... More

The Oliver Hotel occupies an historic building in downtown Knoxville, and it sits on Market Square - the coolest place in town for dining, outdoor events, and so forth. It is a little hotel run by the owner. The furniture is handpicked and definitely not "hotel" furniture. It is luscious! The bed was the best hotel experience I have ever... More

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was walking distance to a variety of bars and restaurants. The staff was very friendly. We woke up to no water because of a water main break on the street. They were very accommodating, giving us a late check-out...offering us any assistance that was needed. We would highly recommend this hotel and... More

This hotel is my personal favorite in Knoxville. It is a charming hotel with a stylish interpretation on a vintage or restoration look. The rooms are comfortable and inviting, the bathrooms are spacious and modern, and the staff is always so willing to help. The proximity of great restaurants on Market Square and the Library make it a fantastic place... More

We stayed at The Oliver January 10, 2016. We had a spacious 2 room suite. Well furnished, 2 big screen TV's. Bed was comfy. The lighting was terrible. Always seemed dark. The lighting in the bathroom was the worst. Very hard to see. No lighted vanity mirror. My wife had to apply her makeup outside the bathroom. The heating unit... More

My husband and I stayed for one night for a little getaway and absolutely fell in love with this hotel. The staff was very friendly and happy to help us when we ask for suggestions on where to eat. Very clean and Nicely decorated. We will stay there again for sure!!!!

While traveling from Maryland to Nashville recently my wife and I decided to stay in Knoxville for one night. We chose The Oliver Hotel because it looked like it would be unique. . . . . , and it was a true gem. From the greeting by Dino at the front desk, to the great atmosphere at the Peter Kern... More

My husband and I live in Knoxville. We have stayed here twice even though we live 20 minutes away. I would highly recommend the hotel. This is a hidden gem for any out of town guest. Be sure to have a drink at the Peter Kern Library during your stay.

We had a very nice room with a king bed. There was plenty of space and the bath was perfectly adequate. The bed was not the most comfortable for me personally. I would have preferred a softer mattress or at least a little memory foam on top for more comfort, but then that is really personal preference. If we had... More
