Location, location, location...sometimes it's great like this place, and sometimes it's noisy because it's so close to the action, like this place. A great little hotel with very nice rooms and a really nice (little) library bar. And attached to a wonderful restaurant.

I stayed at the Oliver on the night of my wedding. I grew up in Knoxville and wanted a unique experience, and the Oliver is just that. The rooms are great and the staff accommodating. It would be the first hotel I would recommend in Knoxville.

This is a "boutique" hotel in the center of Knoxville conveniently located near some great restaraunts, bars, and local shops. The hotel is small but features an upscale stay with a retro feel that includes a speakeasy style bar in the lobby where you can get old fashioned style cocktails. The rooms are comfortable with soft beds, a well stocked... More

We loved this hotel - Small but with all the services we wanted. The bar is cozy with great decor - the rooms are beautifully renovated with quality fittings. Spacious shower and washroom - very comfortable bed and pillows - large TV and good work area. We had a King room with a great view over Market Square. The hotel... More

We stopped here for one night on our way from Charlotte to Memphis. Our luggage was whisked to our room while we enjoyed a great lunch in the adjacent restaurant. There were bikes available, but my 9-year-old granddaughter was a little too short to ride safely. We returned to the hotel after walking around Knoxville and asked for dinner suggestions.... More

My family and I were driving from Birmingham, AL to Asheville, NC and while on the road decided to spend the night in Knoxville on the way. I called the hotel when we were about an hour away and was able to book a king suite with a pullout sofa bed. The desk clerk asked when we would be arriving... More

Super cute hotel in the middle of everything in downtown Knoxville. Reminded us both of the Bowery Hotel in Manhattan. Cool speakeasy bar in the lobby and it's a few block walk to endless dining and drinking options. Our room is looking right on Market Square. It got a little loud Saturday night (we didn't care), but it's something to... More

We passed through Knoxville on our way to the Smoky Mountains and we could not have stayed at a better place! Great hospitality upon arrival at this 28 room boutique hotel. Rooms are clean and very spacious. It has a cute but vibrant bar and you can rent bikes. Nice restaurants in walking distance plus at it's corner a smaller... More

Visited The Oliver for a quick, two day work trip to Knoxville. Great downtown location, beautiful hotel and room - for an unbelievably affordable price. I can't recommend this hotel enough and wish I had stayed longer. Don't miss the Peter Kern Library Bar - unmarked and hidden from the street, but hotel guests have access from the lobby.

We stayed at the Oliver hotel on recent visit to Knoxville and was pleasantly surprised by its location and charm. We were very warmly welcomed upon our arrival and immediately given access to our room although we were checking in an hour early. Our room was very spacious and clean and stocked with affordable snacks and a minibar. Loved the... More
