We were told by someone at Hotels.com that the hotel had “rave reviews”. Upon arrival, we were in shock. The place was a dump. The carpet throughout the hotel was soiled all over. The ceilings showed signs of sagging and water damage. Inside the rooms the carpet may have been slightly newer, but had ripples on the floor. The furniture... More

This is the worst I have experienced over many years of travel. We had not planned to stay so searched the online reservation services last minute (was not much available) for a hotel. Booked the Magnuson, arrived to a DUMP to say the least. Was greeted by the rudest front desk clerk ever with Iron Maiden blaring in the background.... More

Even though the inn was not busy, we were put on the fourth floor room 418A. The ice machine did not work. We called the desk and were told to come down to the first floor and they would give us some. So much for service. there were sticky soda spills on the table..is this room cleaned?? The TV was... Grand pool, grand lobby bar and pretty cheap. A lot of restaurants nearby... That's great 'cause you can go there by foot. The room was pretty quiet, didn't hear a whisper of the noisy street which 's only a few steps from the entree. All good so far, even though I'm a smoker I shouldn't have chosen the smokers room...... More

We booked this hotel through Bookings.com (my first mistake) and asked to check the room before checking in. It was dirty, smoky and dark. We immediately went back to the front desk and said we would not be staying. The desk clerk said we would still be charged by Bookings.com I wrote to Bookings and explained the situation. According to... More

Stay away from this place, this is a DUMP. The excuse that it is "old" does not justify the filthyness of the entire establishment. It's also WAY overpriced ($85 per night for something like this is an absolute joke!) The personnel is nice and friendly and you have to feel sorry for them to work in a dive like this......looks... I have never stayed in a hotel as nasty as was Magnuson Inn. Had we arrived earlier in the day and had a chance to go elsewhere I would have left. The furnishings are circa "1970. The air conditioning does not work in the rooms. The night we were there it was 100 degrees that day. I realized the next... More

When we first arrived other then the parking lot the lobby was beautiful but hot and load due to the bar right there. We rented two rooms, one of them was nasty and house keeping never even entered the room so we had that room changed. Neither of the phones or clocks worked in the rooms. The lady at the... More

Me and some of my coworkers did not stay at the hotel but we went in to the bar located in the hotel. When we got to the door the bouncer stopped us because we had on jackets in 30 degree weather. He advised us that he need to take our JACKETS( which do have a zipper) to the car... More
