I'm not one to be bothered by traditional decor in the Marriott mode, but when you throw gaslamps and Oriental rugs in the concrete lobby of a hotel clearly modeled on (ripped off from?) The Disney Contemporary, the effect is off-putting, to say the least. This hotel needs to own its 70s brutalist styling and replace those Queen Anne chairs... More

Thanks for the constructive comments!! We do hear that we look like the Contemporary sometimes, but we do try to have our own style. When renovations happen, we'll be looking into a different design and feel. More

The service at this hotel was great, the health club for working out was very good, and the breakfast for Gold members awesome! We dined nearby at Ruth's Chris for a dinner meeting and this location is less than 1/4 mile away. The bar after dinner was nice and lively as we talked and watched Johnny Manziel struggle for the... Service was pretty good at the restaurant, ok at the bar and great at the front desk. Room service was spotty. We were here for a wedding from Thursday through Sunday. It's too bad the place is so beat up, the employees make every effort to make your stay pleasant but.... The room contained carpet with a film that cried... More

I normally use trip advisor to research all hotels I stay in. However, with this being a Marriott, I assumed a certain standard and boy was I wrong! As my daughter and I checked in, I immediately realized how badly this property needs to be updated. As we arrived in our room and sat down on the bed, I noticed... More

This is a comfortable hotel, with a good location, a decent restaurant for breakfast and a spacious lobby. The staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms and the hotel in general was clean. The hotel badly needs to be updated, however. The rooms and furniture are 1980's vintage and the entire property shows it age. Fitness facility is small and also... More

I spent a weekend here in October 2013 (18-20 Oct 2013) on a busy football weekend in Knoxville. On 19 Oct, the Vols hosted South Carolina, so this was one of those fall weekends in Knoxville when hotels, motels and lodging establishments of all types are filled with not only football fans but also fall foliage and Great Smoky Mountains... Stayed here last week for one night. The building and furnishings are very dated, rooms are small and in need of serious redoing. Good location,, but for the cost, you would be much better off at another nearby Marriott property like Fairfield or Springhill or Courtyard. Contrary to some of the other reviews here, I do not choose a hotel... More

My husband and I only stayed for one night while passing through, but the front desk staff were wonderful. Pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable. They suggested the square for our evening stroll and dinner. It was an easy taxi ride away and our night was very pleasant right in the heart of Knoxville. :)

The staff are the star at this property. Yes the building is dated, but it is spacious and located close to downtown. If you get the chance, do the quick walk to the down town square, very nice bars and restaurants for a relatively small town. Back at the hotel, all the staff are excellent, from check on to the...
