Had a "GREAT" experience! The accomodations were fantastic. I especially enjoyed the decor, not only within the home but the surrounding area as well. Food was great and the Inn Keeper went out of her way to provide a special breakfast for the business oriented guest. The "Train" was a special treat for me. It brought back very fond memories... We stayed at the Hawley House for two nights...it was one of the most enjoyable experiences we have ever had. The room was incredible (The General Francis Preston room)...beautifully decorated with antiques and everything about it made us feel right at home. The breakfasts were wonderful...Marcy, the owner, is an excellent cook and provides a very relaxing atmosphere for meals.... More

The ambiance was peaceful and relaxing, the company enlightening, and the food was terrific! The entire house has been impeccably decorated by a true preservationist. I have visited this location on more than one occasion and have been truly impressed time and again. Hawley House is indeed a perfect getaway for anyone!

There is no better way to relax and enjoy spring break than in the mountains of East Tennessee! We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night visit to the Hawley House in Jonesborough. The innkeeper was the most gracious hostess in the universe. Paula Deen has nothing on her! She cooked the most fabulous breakfasts one could ever imagine. Our first day... More

The Hawley House is very historic with lots of antiques to ponder about. My favorite part of the house was the huge porch with the rocking chairs; you can sit out there in the evening sipping tea while watching day turn into night in this historic place, and get a few friendly waves from the town folk. It's just beautiful... More

What better way to experience the historic town of Jonesborough than to stay at the oldest house in the town? Hawley House has become an annual escape for me. My favorite room is the one that overlooks the town square. It has antique furniture and furnishings that remind me of overnights with my grandmother and it is comfortable and welcoming.... More

The candlelight breakfasts are wonderful and the peacefulsurroundings and ambiencemakes it a great place to stay. The location is perfect, (you can walk to the Dogwood Lane... More

The oldest building in the oldest town in Tennessee----sort of. The present owner is very gracious. She has done a great job of renovation and restoration that included construction of several new rooms. You can't tell the old from the new. The place is beautiful. We would recommend a daytime visit to see the inn and the rooms, but we... More
