The Carnegie Hotel in Johnson City, TN is an elegant hotel adjacent to the East Tennessee State University. We stayed in a room with 2 queen-size sleigh beds. The bathroom was very large with 2 sinks, a bathtub and a separate shower. Plus, we got a great AAA rate of $99. Our breakfast at Wellington's (the hotel restaurant) was fine.... more

I stayed at this hotel for two nights during the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough. My king room was excellent -- a very large room with sofa, a nice desk area and a small fridge. The furnishings were excellent and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was huge! It included a separate bath and shower plus all the usual... more

Very good place to stay. All positive reviews here were right. The Millennium Center and the ETSU are directly connected with the hotel. Don't forget to take Jake Legg's Lost State Tour (a bus ride around the city) http://loststatetours.com/, it was very entertaining! more

We stayed recently with our young children and it was very nice. Extremely clean, huge room and massive bathroom featuring both a shower and separate tub. Dual sinks in bathroom as well. Only negative was that ice machine is located on lower lobby floor. more

We stay here almost every year with a large group of people and we love this hotel! They have always been very courteous and respectful to us. The service is top notch. The rooms are very well appointed with the most comfortable king beds I have ever slept on. They have large rich dark wood TV armoires, sleigh beds, large... more

The food is awesome. You can get a $99 deal at AAA. Gotta run to do fun stuff, but read all of the reviews...this... more

The staff of The Carnegie was kind and helpful, good demeanor, never giving the image of subservience--I liked that. The front desk was helpful with several requests, The bartender was knowledgeable, friendly and good at suggesting drink options. The restaurant was fairly priced, and very comfortable for a long relaxing lunch. The rooms were large and comfortable and felt like... more

My husband and I stayed one night at the Carnegie on our way to a funeral in Asheville, NC. This was the perfect place to stop and rest. The rooms are HUGE and the food is excellent! We purchased the "dinner and a movie" package which turned out to be a great bargain. We could choose any movie from the... more

We stayed at the Carnegie Hotel over the Thanksgiving weekend while visiting family in the area. When we first drove in (at night) I was a little concerned about the neighborhood, but the staff assured me that it was completely safe. The lobby is beautiful, the staff was extremely nice and helpful, the room was gorgeous, and the bathroom was... more
