What an incredible weekend! Lovely, one of a kind accommodations with wonderful hosts and innkeepers Fred and Mary Jane Peace. A very unique home with lots of character. It's a mixture of elegance in a very cozy setting. We had an excellent stay! And will visit again!

This beautiful property and home is truly an experience of peace in a pastoral, yet sophisticated, setting! The home, built by Master Builder Braxton Dixon, provides a glimpse of fine craftsmanship not seen these days.....beautiful, repurposed woods and stone, interesting and historical doors, stairs (from New Orleans and London) are just the beginning! We stayed three days in the cottage... More

I was looking for a quiet romantic quick getaway to celebrate my Hubby's 40th birthday. He isn't a fan of bed and breakfast so I took a huge risk. The moment we arrived he was sold. The property is huge and beautiful. All the greenery and the acres of land. Fred and Mary Jane were the friendliest people, southern hospitality at... More

Ahhh…Thanks so much guys! We are so glad that it met your expectations. Especially for a first time B&B stay. You both were a joy to have as guests. I'll keep you updated on the goings on here and on the hill. Maybe we will see you around the holidays. Looking forward to having you back in the future. All... More

This 'Gem of the Tennessee Hills' is now our favorite B&B! Simple. End of story. From that first "Hello" when we walked in those antique front doors to the last wave, owners and Innkeepers Fred & Mary Jane made us feel at home. Mary Jane's tour of the Thistletop -- imagined and constructed by master architect and builder Braxton Dixon... More

My wife and I stayed here for her birthday weekend. We live only twenty minutes away but had never heard of the Thistletop. We found it through Tripadvisor one Friday morning and were fortunate that this just happened to be one of those rare weekends when they had a vacancy on short notice. Quite simply, it was the stay-cation of... More

My husband and I stayed at Thistletop Inn in November towards the end of our American road trip. We had been on the road for quite a while and were looking forward to reaching Goodlettsville and checking into Thistletop Inn because I had seen pictures of the property on the Internet and it looked like a private oasis set off... Thistletop Inn is the perfect place to fill your needs. It's great for your honeymoon or just a home base during your Nashville stay. Thistletop also works as a quiet getaway if you need time for reflection. This is a special place. The home is quirky and comfortable. Fred and Mary Jane treat each guest as family. Mary Jane and Fred are fantastic and instantly make you feel at home. Starting your day with a cup of coffee, a beautiful view and Fred’s outstanding breakfast sets the bar high and it only gets better from there. The entire inn is beautiful, clean, and comfortable. But it goes beyond that with its beautifully manicured grounds, interesting artifacts, and... More

This B & B has a rustic country appearance. I am so glad I found this place! They welcomed us as if we were their own family. All the reviews and pictures I have found on Tripadvisor and another website were positive and exactly true! I surprised my husband and decided to take him on our first alone trip (no... More
