This state park is tucked away in Eva, TN with beautiful and peaceful surroundings. There are cabins for rent that were recently updated - they were perfect. Still rustic, no 5-star amenities --but this was a perfect spot for a nature-full getaway. We went in the end of March, first week of April so not all of the trails were... More

If you are looking for a quiet get-away spot, go to Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park. The cabins are well-maintained and comfortable. Stocked with dishes, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and refrigerator. The deck is covered and is a relaxing place to sit and enjoy the view of lake. Plenty of walking trails to explore. The area is so beautiful and... More

Food at the lodge was GOOD, typical Southern cooking. The lodge is great and the scenery is the best. Wonderful place for a family reunion. The park is a little off the beaten path, but the directions are easy to follow. We would go back!

We were RV campers in November, what a beautiful camp, and the grounds were well maintained. The museum was so informative; they did an excellent job on the history they preserved for everyone. We went to the top of the knob and enjoyed a beautiful view of the lake. Great place to go and relax. We are planning our next... More

What a great little museum that shows the way people lived on the Tennessee River in the early 1900's. It is a pretty drive up to the museum through the Nathan Bedford Forest State Park. I will be going back with family and out of town guests.

We stayed in a cabin in Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park this past week and it was wonderful! The cabins are very spacious, quiet, and very clean. Everything you need is provided including linens, dinnerware, microwave, fridge and even a toaster. The sofa by the gas fireplace was a perfect place to sit and enjoy reading a good book. The... When we checked in we knew that we were in the right place. The staff each and everyone of them was very nice and gave alot of information. They also had maps to every where you wanted to go on the park. It was WONDERFUL.

Most of my investigation of local history dealt primarily with Appalachian culture, I just assumed that they got off the mountain and here we are. The museum located at NBFSP does an excellent job in detailing the life of the folks of middle and west TN who relied on the water for their livelihood. Now I know who transported my... More

What a wonderful camp ground in the State Park. Reasonable rates, water and electric hook ups or primitive camp sites, hot showers in heated restrooms. We had a fabulous time hiking on the nature trails and picnicing by the lake. The fall color and the weather were at their best for the first week of November. We'll be back, Janesville,... More
