There were too many dogs off leash at this campground. The owners were not cleaning up after them and there were piles of "crap" everywhere. One dog even urinated on my picnic table. When I said something to the owner he was very rude. I think he has only been managing this campground for a couple of weeks, so not... More

I tried to stay at this campground for 2 nights. I had to leave after one. There are a lot of dogs running free. The first night, when we got there, we went walking and the first thing, I stepped in a pile of dog poo. I have two dogs of my own and I just thought maybe somebody hadn't... More

We have stayed at the Nolichucky Gorge Campground twice this year, each time occupying a nicely appointed cabin about 70 yards from the Nolichucky River. Our first stay was in February and the second was in April. These trips were primarily focused on being near the nursing home where my mother is a resident. The campground was recommended by a... Every time I visit this place there is some new! I have been using the camp ground for years and always felt welcome. The bathrooms are always clean and the camping spots are well taken care of. I have used the campground during all different times of the year and it has always been a pleasant experience. You have to... More

I have been hosting a campout here for 15 years. They have always been helpful and we have a great time. The river is a highlight and tubing is great. I plan on continuing the annual campout here as long as I can.

I have been a happy user of this property for several years. After my last experience I will not be using this campground again. My wife and I had been visiting campers we know. We paid our $3 each for day privileges and then left to take care of some business. When we returned the operator came up and in... More

My family and I have been going out here for years! This is a place where you can go and leave all of your worries behind. Its a perfect spot to camp for people of all ages. The river access is so convenient there, too with the AT being right there! Perfect is an understatement!

Quite possibly the most beautiful campground site in the US, at the end of a road, near the AT, nestled in the mountains on the river. Easy going host, juried wood turner on site, rafting, birds, veggies, lovely old trees, stars, big sky, and quiet.

This is a pretty campground with well spaced level sites. I have tent camped here at least once a year for the past 6 years or more. Despite the review below, everyone on the staff has been super cool to me. Really has a laid back vibe. Only draw back is the trains traveling on the other side of the... More

I went over there to see friends who were camping, and apparently he charges a fee to look at it. It was about 6pm, so it wasn't like I was leaving a car there all day for a shuttle. I was only going to stay an hour or so. However, he came up immediately and someone said I owed money.... More
