The choice of hotels in the MIddlesboro-Cumberland Gap area is pretty limited, but we made the right choice in picking this place over the various chains in Middlesboro. The hotel is located in the very small town of Cumbeland Gap, nestled in a valley in the Appalachians on the Tennessee side of the Gap. The hotel is old, but the... More

This place, while old, is very clean and comfortable. The people who run it could not be more friendly or accommodating. Nestled at the base of the Cumberland Gap and in the center of the village of Cumberland Gap, the setting couldn't be better.

A side from the BnB In town this is the only motel in town. It took something to get a acceptable rate but if you can do so the town is worth staying here. The town is cute and very walkable. It feels like about a century back. The room was large, bed ok, normal equipment. No breakfast but there... More

I am so happy our group of 11 did not go with the one bad review. In 20 years of staying in hotels this was my family best exerience. Mike the manager was the best host. He made everyone feel at home and became what he needed to become to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel is close to hiking... More

We decided to stay at the Inn after reading the good online reviews which was a mistake. It was an unfortunate experience, from the fact the Inn was not clean, to the fact that it is right next to a hookah bar that attracted some questionable people. The owner Mike walked us into the hotel room and while he was... More

First of all, you need to realize that this Inn changed ownership less than 2 years ago, so any reviews older than that should be disregarded. I was worried too before I just booked and hoped for the best. My husband and I stayed for 3 nights this past weekend. Mike, the owner, is so friendly and accommodating. He went... More

We were fortunate to stay in the Pinnacle Suite and enjoyed the view from the balcony and surrounding area..The room was clean and had every comfort one could ask for.... It came with a first class service and the owner was very friendly.. The Cumberland Gap Inn is located in the midst of nature at it's best and some of... More

My sister and I stayed at the inn while we were relocating her to California. We enjoyed our stay with the friendly staff at the Inn. Our room was always left clean and after exhausting days of moving we were always happy to return. The location could not be more beautiful. A little back patio sits next to a creek... More

Overpriced for a Motel 6 clone with fancy window dressing. Pluses: location, close to everything in the town; plenty of parking; decent supply of towels, toiletries, and 3 pillows per bed--um really reaching here. Minuses: appliances (refrigerator and A/C are loud and poorly functioning (a bottle of water was in the freezer 16 hours without freezing); cheap shower curtain clings... More
