First of all, you need to realize that this Inn changed ownership less than 2 years ago, so any reviews older than that should be disregarded. I was worried too before I just booked and hoped for the best. My husband and I stayed for 3 nights this past weekend. Mike, the owner, is so friendly and accommodating. He went... More

We were fortunate to stay in the Pinnacle Suite and enjoyed the view from the balcony and surrounding area..The room was clean and had every comfort one could ask for.... It came with a first class service and the owner was very friendly.. The Cumberland Gap Inn is located in the midst of nature at it's best and some of... More

My sister and I stayed at the inn while we were relocating her to California. We enjoyed our stay with the friendly staff at the Inn. Our room was always left clean and after exhausting days of moving we were always happy to return. The location could not be more beautiful. A little back patio sits next to a creek... More

Overpriced for a Motel 6 clone with fancy window dressing. Pluses: location, close to everything in the town; plenty of parking; decent supply of towels, toiletries, and 3 pillows per bed--um really reaching here. Minuses: appliances (refrigerator and A/C are loud and poorly functioning (a bottle of water was in the freezer 16 hours without freezing); cheap shower curtain clings... More

Recently in town for family reunion. We paid 130.00/night plus tax for this room, it was beautiful. Although, the television was extremely small, the town is so charming and sweet and the owner of the motel was very nice and considerate! We werent bothered with early knocks on the door-My family sings and the original hotel wouldnt let us have... More

Decided to stay here based on the overall good reviews. The decor is very dated, and looks like it was cheap to start with. Not the cleanest room; hair on the bathroom floor. No breakfast, no pool, but you know that going in. The "view" we had from our very tiny "balcony" was of a house, which was close enough... More

Overall a good experience. Definitely good on price. Rooms were clean but the fittings and furniture were starting to show wear. Time to renovate again. Back door to rooms opens on a patio overlooking the woods. I would stay there again.

We stayed there during a short Christmas road trip. It was great. The room was clean and comfortable. You get a patio with a brook and view of covered bridge in the back, and a view of the mountains in front. Staff was friendly and attentive. Excellent coffee in room ( Folgers ) We will definitely stay there again. I... More

What a wonderful surprise!!!! You don't expect such a nice Inn tucked away in the mountains. Clean, comfortable, very friendly employees. Small creek runs behind the rooms with chairs and table to sit. My family and friends come here often. Much better than staying on a busy highway.

Stayed here on our way back to Virginia from Nashville. The inn is well-kept and is in the process of being refurbished. After a few nights of struggling to connect to WiFi in larger hotel chains we were pleasantly surprised to find excellent connection here. As we are from the UK it is not easy to stay on the radar...
