We stayed for two nights (July 24 and 25) and had a really relaxing time. Kathy was great--very friendly. The food was delicious, the room was comfortable and the town is adorable. The cookies were AMAZING. We liked that there was a fridge for guests to keep things in, and the laid-back atmosphere of the place.

We needed a relaxing couple of days away from the routine and this was a great choice! We stayed in the Front Parlor room on the second floor. Nice size room with king size bed. Bathroom has all amenities, but it's a little tight. Both were very clean. We opened the window next to the mill wheel to listen to... More

We had a great, two night, stay at the Olde Mill Inn. After a very long drive from California, it was a pleasure to check in to such a lovely inn with such wonderful accommodations. We stayed in the “Cabin” and were very pleased with the comfort of the bed and the space of the room. Kathy greeted us at... More

You may have had a long drive from California but you had so much energy and kept on going as you focused on making a "nest" for your daughter. Yes, I am a nester and it probably comes across at the Inn as making your experience relaxing and enjoyable is my utmost goal. What a delight you are and I... More

Great place. The accommodations, nature, town and people are inviting, warm, interesting, and unique. Small town atmosphere with vast, beautiful nature. Trails, waterfalls, vistas. Coffee Shops, art, antiques. Not many, but good. Cumberland Gap provides a laid back , peaceful environment. We loved it. The host Kathy was wonderful and prepared delicious breakfasts.

I am so happy that you liked the Cumberland Gap, Tri-State area! It truly is beautiful with much to do if you like history, relaxing and being outdoors. The title of this review is a sign that hangs in the dining area, and it pretty much sums it up. This was my first stay at a BNB so all future ones have big shoes to fill. Kathy was outgoing, friendly and informative. We rode motorcycles, it rained, she offered us her car for the day. You would never... More

When you made the reservation, and I was able to speak with you, just knew you would all be a lot of fun. So glad there were moments of sunshine so that you could enjoy the area on your bikes and talking with you was interesting and truly felt like I was talking to old friends. Continue exploring as you... More

We walked for miles on the trails nearby. Fortunately our bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was nice but very small and unfortunately the hot water was not working and the plumber had not made it there that day. It is amazing to think that settlers and their families made it through the Gap without the conveniences we enjoy today!

So glad that you enjoyed the trails of Cumberland Gap as the beauty abounds. It is with regret though that the hot water did go out in the morning of your one night stay. Though you had departed, the hot water was back on within just a few hours and we apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your time... More

Just thirty minutes from home we discovered an awesome B&B! Our two night get away, a gift from our daughter, was so peaceful and relaxing. The bed in Nana's room was incredibly comfortable, breakfast was as appealing to the eye as it was to the stomach, and Hester, the innkeeper, was very personable and helpful. There are numerous trails to... More

We are so glad you had a relaxing time at The Olde Mill Inn and best of all, that it was so close to your home. Cumberland Gap is filled with an abundance of hiking and walking trails and seeing the beauty here is in itself a way of relaxing. After a few good treks, the bed calls you and... More

We have been booking our road trip for a year. Really looking forward to staying in this unique accommodation. Was told I had made the reservation for two days before we even flew out of the UK. My confirmation email (dated July2014) which clearly states the correct date and the room type and the price, was disregarded and I was... More

Dear Felicity, We totally understand your feelings and sorry you chose not to come and stay with us. You would have had an excellent time. As we said, we have no idea how the dates were changed, we did NOT do it. You did all of the booking on-line. We did not take the reservation. That is why we asked... More

Great location , town , breakfast and inn owner Katrina. Felt welcome from check in. Inn is a working mill and corn meal and flour is available for sale. Unique place to stay. Cute coffee / bakery / sandwich shop next to creek within walking distance . You won't be disappointed.

On our two week vacation to see two National Parks and the National Historic Park in Cumberland Gap we have stayed at three Bed and Breakfasts. We finally found one that fulfilled all our hopes - The Olde Mill in historic Cumberland Gap. Arriving late after being caught in a 10 men traffic jam on I-40 where a semi cab... More
