Pleasant historical building, nicely updated by Sheraton. Quiet rooms, good flat-panel TV, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom. Will return. more

I enjoyed the stay. Room was a king and a good size for one. If two - would have been a bit of a problem. Flat screen very nice. History of the hotel was a nice bonus. The Poter Steak House was expensive but company paid. If I was gong to pay I would have gone someplace else. more

My spouse and I took a trip to Chattanooga in the early spring to do some business nearby and the Read House was our choice of hotel. I had read mixed reviews at the time so I was not expecting anything great until we got there and I was impressed. I usually like more modern hotels but this hotel was... more

What a great, historic, unique hotel! The rooms were good sized (except for the tiny bathroom), updated, and very quiet - I hardly ever heard anyone else during my stay. Free wi-fi, and a Starbucks and Steakhouse in the same building are extra big pluses. Front desk staff are friendly, just not completely knowledgable about everything (If you want an... more

If you like historic buildings, this is a nicely renovated hotel with lots of character. Comfy bed. The only problem with my room was that it was supposed to be non-smoking but it smelt like it had been a smokers' room. Great location in downtown Chattanooga. more

We stayed in this hotel for two days and that was more than enough. We have stayed in Sheraton hotels before so we did expected Sheraton service, but this time we were very dissapointed. We booked a bigger room in advance but when we checked in we got a very small and dark corner room, very depressing. It seemed all... more

The hotel is nice and the rooms were great but my coworker and I were on our way back from dinner at the Pickle barrel -just two blocks from the hotel. We had witnessed a scary incident in which a woman was apparently knocked out and lying unconscious on the side of the street; we had called 911 and were... more

I go to Chattanooga often and this hotel has fallen apart over the last two years. The rooms have great beds and all the standard Sheraton required items. BUT, the tv's are old junkers, they have the staff so cut back you can never get anyone to fill requests. The pool area is beautiful BUT its always broken or filthy.... more

I spent two nights on a recent business trip and was very pleased with the hotel. It is a restored historic building with a lot of charm. Front desk staff was very professional and gave me a complimentary upgrade to a small suite. Rooms were spacious and nicely decorated. The fitness center was modern which was a plus. While I... more
