We stayed here for several days in June, 2008, as part of a Vietnam Veteran's group get-together. It was awful. Whatever you do, don't stay in rooms adjoining the heated pool area, especially in summer. The vending machines are antiquated and don't work. Staff was not accomodating to this matter either. The service here is amazing, but it doesn't make up for the filthy outdated rooms. Very poor experience overall. Our first room wasn't even cleaned and we walked into stripped beds. Stayed here when we travelled with Travelsphere for a tour of the South in March. We arrived after a nine hour flight and a three hour transfer to a gorgeous hotel. We were in one of the rooms not the carriages, and they were so big!! The beds were huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was massive and so clean.... more
