We just got back from Chattanooga and enjoyed a short stay at Mayor's Mansion Inn. It is truly a mansion, beautifully cared for and restored. Our room was luxurious, decorated in keeping with the period of the house but with all necessary amenities. Breakfast was elegantly served and delicious...so much so that we asked for a recipe. Innkeepers and other... More

I recently visited Mayor's Mansion Inn for a quick one-night stay while visiting a friend. Despite my short visit to the inn, I was incredibly impressed with everything about the B&B. As soon as I walked in, staff members were taking my bags up to my room for me. I got a lovely tour from the owners who not only... More

We never got to stay here! Due to the fact that we had a bad experience at a B&B in Mass. some years ago, we were in Chattanooga on Sat. May 18th for my wifes birthday. We got there about 4:00 p.m. eastern time to check-in but first asked if we could be taken up to see our romm first... More

As noted, this individual did not stay with us. Not so clear however to the reader is that he had no reservations and arrived, telling us he was here to tour our rooms. Our Inn policy is not to do “tours” for several reasons (privacy of our actual Guests, security and our desire to keep our rooms truly “guest-ready” until... More

The total experience was great from beginning to the end. My wife and I spent two days at the Mayor's Mansion Inn. The staff and owners were always available to assist in any of our needs. They made us feel like family while we were on premise. The meals and presentations were superb. We particularly enjoyed the common areas of... More

We stayed here on two occassions, loved both! See it at Christmas, extravagently decorated. Great food, attentive staff. Pick 2nd or 3rd floor, more elaborate rooms. Very elegant, had a 2nd floor room w/ 300 gall tub that fit both easily. HUGE bathroom, canopy bed with yards of fabric hanging. A real WOW factor. Great front porch for people watching,... More

Was our first experience at a Bed and Breakfast. We could not have asked for anything more. The staff was great. Had some awesome meals. Our room was beautifully decorated and most of all clean. The nice clean smell of your sheets and towels. This is a wonderful place to stay. Very friendly you almost think you are having breakfast with... More

I frequently stay in historic register properties and the Mayor's Mansion is certainly one of the best maintained and best run Inns I've ever stayed in. The house is a beautiful structure with period decorations and is in perfect condition yet still feels entirely original. The location is also convenient to the university and many of the downtown attractions.

First the good - a gorgeous old building beautifully restored with magnificent furnishings. Now the bad - the place is entirely staffed by college students who are exceedingly nice and want to help, but are pretty much clueless. Tried to check in at 2:30pm. Was told by a young maid that the inn keepers don't arrive until 4:00pm. Came back... More

As the owners of this property, we rarely take offense to a review, as we feel it communicates someone’s opinion which reflects their specific tastes or the comments can help us improve our business. However, we question this reviewer’s intentions. Having started off their experience with not being allowed to check in early, likely set their tone. Check-out is at... More

We had a girls get-away weekend and, after checking hotels and other B&B's in Chattanooga, we made reservations at Mayor's Mansion. It was wonderful and the staff could not have been any nicer or more attentive. The inn is absolutely beautiful with a nice front porch for happy hour. The owner actually came out and introduced himself to us and... More

My wife and I had our wedding reception at Mayor's Mansion on April 6, 2013, and we spent the night there. Everything went perfectly! It could not have gone better. The staff was exceptional, the planning had nailed everything, the music system quality was just right, the food was fantastic and beautifully displayed, even the wine was great. Spending the...
