My wife bought a Living Social deal for the Stone Fort Inn. We like Chattanooga and head there often for long weekends. We stayed Sunday night (after going to the worth-while Chattanooga Market in the afternoon) and the inn was not too crowded. Since it was Sunday, it was easy to check into the hotel (no weekday traffic). As pointed... More

Thank you for your review. Although the Stone Fort Inn, a historic property built in 1909, was recently renovated, we purposely kept the character and charm of the original building. Therefore, comparing it to a recently built Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn is a bit like comparing apples and oranges. It is the nature of a historic building that the... More

Having read some of the previous comments about the Stone Fort all I can say is - this hotel is old, so you have to live with the fact that there are quirks like not having a door which is quite flush with the wall and some mature, but beautifully clean and maintained, furniture. That's what you get if you... More

The staff at this establishment were very welcoming and pleasant but we did not enjoy the accommodation at all. We asked for a move from the originally designated room but were placed in another which was hardly an improvement. The rooms were dull and dingy and, in that in which we stayed, the doors were ill-fitting, old, and generally in... More

We are glad you found some positives with our breakfast and our staff at StoneFort. We realize we cannot please everyone all the time. You are certainly one that was not pleased with your stay and we apologize. Please let the record show that we chose not to renew with Select Registry, as they charge over $3,500 per year to... More

I stayed in Room 23, which was lovely. Huge bathroom, with big tiled shower stall and separate jetted tub. The bed was super-comfy, but could have used a step-stool because it was so high. The staff was uniformly friendly and professional, especially Anthony at the breakfast buffet and Steve in Terra Mae, the restaurant downstairs. Food was great, especially the... More

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Stone Fort Inn. Dee & Robert at the front desk were wonderful, both friendly and accommodating. We also booked using a living social deal and arrived on a Sunday. We were able to check in early and enjoyed the champagne and cheese plate which was provided at check in. The room... More

I like inns. For me they are in the middle. They are not the generic cookie cutter what-city-am-I-in-again hotel and I dont feel like I am in someone else's living space like I do at a B&B. That said, Chattanooga has very few Inn's and Stone Fort would normally be out of my budget, so when I saw them run... More

Thank you for the feedback. It sounds like you had a positive experience, which is always good to hear. We are glad to hear you enjoyed the breakfast especially because that has been an area of recent improvement. We have added complimentary cappuccino and espresso in the mornings upon request. You'll find fresh squeezed orange juice and grapefruit juice on... More

My girlfriend and I stayed there the night of Labor Day. We booked via hotels.com for . The hotels.com site did not differentiate the levels of rooms So I asked for a balcony room on hotels.com notes page. When we exchanged pleasantries with the lady behind the desk during check-in, she stated that the place was dead, she was extremely... More

We regret that you and your girlfriend did not have an experience that lived up to your expectations and felt the service was disappointing. We take all feedback very seriously and incorporate it into our employee training, so thank you for bringing this to our attention. Samantha, the employee who assisted you, was very disappointed to read your review. She... More

My fiancé and I stayed at the Stone Fort Inn for a little weekend getaway and everything was so phenomenal ! They let us check in early because we had forgotten about a time change, the room was spotless and beautifully decorated and even had a huge bathtub with jets! Every amenity possible is there for you, including a cozy... More

Even though I live in Chattanooga my husband and I love to stay at the Stonefort Inn for a special night out. The staff is so courteous and helpful and the rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are lovely. After a restful night you will enjoy a delicious brunch!!! The bar is well stocked and the bartender is great.
