This was my first stay at a B&B, and I will be back. Ms Vicky is extremely friendly and hospitable. She seen to our every need and the food was delicious. Since I have never been at a B&B I thought it might be awkward, like staying at a strangers house. But Vicky put my husband and I at ease... More

We stayed in the Chalet, so I am not sure how the B&B is, but the Chalet was scary bad. First, the air conditioner was broken, only half of the windows opened, and of those half of the screens were torn so they could not stay open due to bugs. The beds in the 2 rooms upstairs are fold outs... More

Although I did not know when the reviewer stayed at the Creekside Chalet (his name was not on the list of guests), he posted a review of the Chalet on the Iron Mountain Inn B&B page by mistake. However, since I own both, I will respond to his review of the Creekside Chalet. I'm sorry the a/c didn't work because... More

We recently spent a few days at the Iron Mountain Inn and what a treat it was! The house was designed by the owner Vicky. She thought of every comfort for her guests. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. The Inn is full of interesting memorabilia that Vicky has collected. I was intrigued by the old... More

This is a charming B&B in the Tennessee mountains right on the TN/NC border, and very close to the Appalachian Trail. It is a little more than a half-hour from Boone. There is plenty of outdoor activities in the immediate area, the centerpiece being the large Watauga Lake and water activities. The structure is relatively new and was built to... More

First experience at a B&B and did not know what to expect. We had a great time there. Room was wonderful. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was elegant and delicious. Many amenities: bottomless cookie jar, coffee machine just outside room, candy jar in room, bath well supplied with towels, robes, soaps, shampoo, body gel, etc. Vicki the owner/innkeeper was a... The views are beautiful and the atmosphere is extremely relaxing. We had the place all to ourselves & felt very much at home. The romantic set up was provided without having to ask, which was a lovely surprise. The breakfast was phenomenal & the service was great...we truly felt pampered. This is a place I would definitely visit again.

My husband and I were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. We wanted to go somewhere with a lake and close to the Gray Fossil site and were so lucky to find this hidden gem! We stayed on the property in a cozy and VERY secluded cabin. The hot tub was a joy every morning and evening, the bed was comfortable,... More

The Iron Mountain Inn was a great place to stay for a night on our long and windy road trip. We got there late and left early, so we didn't have enough time to really settle in and enjoy the inn and the area. It's in a great location on top of a mountain. Vikki made us a delicious breakfast... More

We had a great time at the Iron Mtn Inn. The view is incredible, the atmosphere is relaxing and Vikki has thought of everything - fantastic host! There were great trails to hike and we especially enjoyed sitting by the fire at night with a glass of wine and some chocolates.

We've been hiking and camping together for years, and this year we were VERY PAMPERED by staying in the Creekside Chalet. We still had the isolation and quiet that we look for, but in a gorgeous chalet. It was very clean, had all the amenities, and we were in a perfect location. We celebrated two successful AT hikes sipping champagne... More
