Mel and Dave are the ultimate hosts! They are attentive to every need, congenial and welcoming. The food is outstanding and leaves one feeling happy and satisfied. While each room has a view of the ocean, room #9 is our fave. A visit to Johnson Shore Inn is a MUST DO for people who love the natural beauty of the... More

It was the perfect ending to our pei vacation. Best place we stayed at all week. Just when we sure there was no good food on pei, we met Mellanie! She is hiding in this lovely, clean and beautifully set home in the middle of the northeastern coast of pei... On a huge peice of land overlooking the water. Had... More

The Johnson Shore Inn's keepers make sure that you're looked after. The spectacular scenery of the north PEI shore out your room window rivals Lake Louise (my favorite place after 40+ countries) and the service that Dave & Mel gave us is better than any hotel we've ever stayed in but with no fussy standards - you can just be... I was travelling around the east end of PEI in the final weekend of May, just prior to the "start of the season." Stopping to catch a rest in Souris, I googled hotels in the area and this was one of the ones that popped up. Dave answered the phone and that was that. On arrival, the inn felt more... More

We had dinner at the Johnson Shore Inn without an overnight stay. Mel and Dave (who are new to the inn this year) were the perfect hosts, making us feel as welcome as old friends. We enjoyed drinks in front of the fireplace, then sat down to an amazing dinner while enjoying the spectacular view. Having eaten at many PEI... More

Hosts Melannie and Dave are friendly and interesting people, and their culinary skills are impressive. The rooms are attractive and comfortable and the views can't be beat. This is a peaceful and beautiful place to stay and we highly recommend it.

Our first stay at the Johnson Shore Inn will end up being our first of many. It was such a surprisingly fun place to stay, and it was great getting to know the owners Mellanie and Dave. The place feels new and everything was spotless, especially the bathrooms (which is always appreciated). I would describe the food, made by the... More

I went to Johnson Shore Inn with the intention of painting the beautiful PEI scenery. I was completely swept away. There is no more ideal location for a painter's getaway on the island! Big sky, seascapes, red cliffs, rolling green landscapes, unbeatable sunsets, a painters paradise! Our room was spotless, and charming. Beautiful bedding. Bathrooms: immaculate, love that shower! I... More
