Very nice clean newer hotel in a wild town which is preparing for 2009 motorcycle rally. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Clean room with two comfortable queen-size beds. We stayed at the HIE in mid September when the weather is nice and the crowds at nearby attractions are minimal. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Sturgis, SD while on a family vacation. Very nice hotel. Everyone working there were extremely nice and helpful. Very clean place. Breakfast was wonderful. The kids loved the pool and flat screen TV. It was the best hotel we stayed at on the entire 5 night trip! more

This is a very new hotel located right by the freeway for easy access but without the noise. On our 5 night cross country trip this was by far the best hotel that we stayed -- it was also the most expensive at $120 plus taxes. If its in your budget you should stay here. more

There were no available rooms in Deadwood so we were advised to try the Holiday Inn Express in Sturgis. It had been open less than a week--the sign was not even up on the highway yet. In spite of a little finish work (like molding around the elevator) that still needed to be done, the hotel and grounds were lovely.... more
