My wife and I and another couple shared the two bedroom/two bath "hideaway" (Carl and Jesse's Hideaway) that is part of the Hisega Lodge. We were there the week before the Black Hills Rally (Sturgis) 2015. This place is great. Its a bed and breakfast beside a river in a beautiful setting that is very motorcycle friendly. Breakfast each day... More

I stayed one night as I was passing through Rapid City. There was a large family reunion happening when I arrived, so at first I was a bit surprised by the large gathering in the main lodge. The family reunion group were great! They quickly found Carol for me so that I could check in. Carol made sure that I... More

About 5 weeks ago my husband and I were blessed to stay 2 nights at Hisega Lodge. We had been in Rapid City for a conference, and while RC is a delightful town with many nice restaurants and shops, we were looking for a more peaceful spot to spend the last 2 days of our trip. We found it at... More

We were having a family reunion in the Black Hills and it was suggested by 2 of the cousins that had visited here previously that this would be a good place for us all to meet and stay. To say that we had an enjoyable time would be an understatement. The location of this historic and rustic lodge was perfect...nestled... More

A family of five, with three children, we spent three nights in this beautiful lodge. Off the beaten path, quietly nestled to a babbling brook, this lodge was stunning. We wanted to unplug and this was a great place to do just that. We had the luxurious Robinson suite and it boasts an open floor plan, with two bedrooms. Satellite... More

First off, my wife and I stayed here during the Sturgis Rally with about 6 other couples within our group and then there were some other couples also not in our group. There is one building set off from the main building that has two rooms downstairs and upstairs in an apartment style setting. The main building has smaller individual... More

Our stay at Hisega Lodge couldn't have been better. The place was full of character, close to the amenities of Rapid City and all the best of South Dakota, but we felt a million miles away from the hustle and bustle. What a jewel. Our hosts were delightful and .... oh boy, the breakfasts, they set you up for the... More

Twelve of us from Austin stayed at Hisega Lodge during the Sturgis 75th Bike Rally. We had 4 rooms in the main house and then two couples shared the bottom floor of the adjacent house which included a full kitchen and living room. The location was even better than we imagined. It is located just a few miles from Rapid... More

A wonderful place to stay while in the Black Hills. The history of the lodge dates back to 1908. Keep your eyes open for deer as you drive the winding road to the lodge. Very scenic location with a roaring stream running by the lodge. Upper and lower porches of the lodge provide seating that allow you to set outside... More

Loved Hisega! It's a historic lodge from 1908 (actually billed as the oldest in the Black Hills). It's nestled in the beautiful scenic hills alongside a roaring mountain stream. There are upper & lower level wrap around porches with great seating and even a wool blanket if you get cold. This was our perfect place for our morning cup of... More
