My husband and I just returned from spending three nights at the Hisega Lodge. Talk about great hospitality! Everything exceeded our expectations. From the cozy fire in the fireplace to the delicious breakfasts, Carol and Kenn made us feel right at home!

Had an opportunity to take my wife with to Rapid City while I worked. Thought Hisega looked like a nice relaxing spot, and it was. We were fortunate to be there during a couple of snowy days, so it was absolutely beautiful. Carol made some FABULOUS breakfasts, and always had plenty of coffee and other refreshments available. On our last... More

My husband and I are glad we stayed at Hisega when we vacationed at Mt Rushmore and Custer State Park. When we saw the ordinary accommodations on strips of highway that could be Anywhere, USA, we were gratified to be staying in the Duncan's historic log house right atop the Rapid River with a mountain looming across the road. When... More

We loved Hisega Lodge last year and went back again this year. Stayed in the newly-added Carl & Jessie's Hideaway, an apartment in a separate building just across the driveway from the main lodge. It has 2 queen bedrooms, 2 baths with small showers, a full kitchen, living/ dining area and gas fireplace. And that fabulous breakfast at 8am. Once... More

We were suppose to be there for one night but ended up being there 3 full nights and days due to the October blizzard. No power, now water. All appliances were electric so we never experienced the raved about breakfasts. Having said that, we were never without food, good food. Sandwiches with great bread, fruits, cheeses etc. Carol and Ken... More

Carol and Kenn have made this place a home away from home! The breakfasts were outstanding, the room was perfect, the view was serene, and the company was amazing. We were lulled to sleep by the creek and were able to enjoy wine fireside. This was my first stay at a B&B and I know I will be returning.

We were sad to leave this great & lovely place behind. We have stayed at the lodge for 2 nights. The relaxed atmosphere, the seclution, the creek, the hospitality, the breakfast. It was so easy meeting other travellers when relaxing on the porch or during breakfast. Carol made us feel right at home. We would love to come back, perhaps... More

Stayed for 5 nights and I just can't say enough good things about the place. The location right in the Black Hills with Rapid Creek running right in front was flat out awesome. It was really a calming and peaceful location and of course one of our hightlights was the morning breakfast. Just meeting folks from all over the place... More

My husband found Hisega Lodge on the internet. The appeal was Rapid Creek is just across the street. To a fly fisherman, it doesn't get any better than that! We had never stayed in a BB before, so I was a little concerned. It was simply wonderful. Room was great, bed was so comfortable, wonderful sleeping with the creek roaring... More

I stayed 2 nights with my sister and 2 friends in the Lost Cabin (which is tucked under a part of the porch) - cozy and very comfortable, especially the beds. Breakfasts were absolutely delicious! We enjoyed sitting with the other guests "family style". Carol and Kenn are wonderful hosts and have thought of just about every detail to provide... More
