I can't recommend Hisega Lodge highly enough. Carol is an exceptional hostess. She encourages her guests to meet one another over her home cooked breakfasts. She was happy to cater for my vegetarian diet, and did so with flair. She was also helpful in providing us with instructions for finding the Lodge after dark. The Lodge feels tucked away in... More

Our 4-night stay at Hisega Lodge did not feel long enough. Carol was warm and welcoming and her breakfasts were divine--the coffee is so good you will drink 3x your normal amount. Sharing the long table in the old dining room with other nice folks was a wonderful way to start the day. Carol and Kenn definitely give you your... More

Owner very nice. Amazing breakfast! Property historic, interesting, beautiful setting. Recommend king bedroom, bathroom was quite small but charming. Unique wrap around decks perfect for enjoying peaceful glass of wine. Could hear guests in adjoining room some.

I said to my wife I love this place already as soon as we turned off of Rt 44 and started down the whining road towards the lodge. As we crossed the bridge with the quick moving creek and saw the lodge off to the left we felt the peace pour over us. Carol greeted Us and showed Us around,... More

We spent 5 great nights at Hisega Lodge in early August 2014 as we visited the Sturgis Motorcycle rally. Kenn and Carol were consummate hosts and true professionals. We were blown away by the gourmet breakfasts and the friendly, laid back style. We plan to return in late fall just to relax and soak up the Black Hills.

This is a great place to stay if you are in the Black Hills area near Rapid City. Best breakfast ever! Enjoyed visiting around the table in the mornings and meeting so many nice folks. Carol couldn't be nicer and helpful. We hope to go back.

This historic hotel has a lot to offer the visitor to the Black Hills. The area surrounding is lovely with Rapid Creek meandering right in front of the hotel. The proprietors are quiet and friendly and the breakfast is creative, healthy and very tasty. There is a giant fireplace for the colder months and a reading room stocked with interesting... More

The area surrounding the B&B was beautiful, serene, rustic and charming. Plenty of hiking/fishing/attractions opportunities to occupy your time. The breakfast was great and the proprietors were very friendly. We would visit this place again, happily!

My wife and I stayed here on our road trip west from Illinois. This was a great choice. The location was secluded and very relaxing. Sitting out on the porch watching the creek melted away our stress. The hosts were gracious and the breakfast was wonderful. On our last day we had to leave early and the host prepared a... More
