Loved Hisega! It's a historic lodge from 1908 (actually billed as the oldest in the Black Hills). It's nestled in the beautiful scenic hills alongside a roaring mountain stream. There are upper & lower level wrap around porches with great seating and even a wool blanket if you get cold. This was our perfect place for our morning cup of... More

I cannot say enough about how much we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hisega. We called the Trout Room home for 3 days during our recent stay, and it was the perfect, quiet, out-of-the-way location for us to have some peace while still being close enough to see everything we wanted to see in the Black Hills and Badlands. We... More

What a great place in the Black Hills near Mount Rushmore. Historic Inn which has been beautiful updated. And wonderful river runs right by the Inn. Delicious breakfast and great hosts Carol and Dann.

Hisega lodge is a lost gem in the black hills. Every morning you wake up a great gourmet breakfast and you get to talk to people in the dining room in has a very cozy and warm atmosphere. My favorite thing about Hisega is the creek that runs next to it. It is so pretty to sit out there at... More

We were greeted with a warm, welcoming smile and great story. Carol and Kenn made us fell comfortable from the minute we arrived at their bed and breakfast. Carol suggested the perfect activities for us to participate in around the area. Our room was cozy and the breeze was perfect at night. The sound of the river is very soothing.... More

My wife and I stayed two evenings at Hisega Lodge and found it to be the perfect place to stay while visiting the Black Hills area. The stay at the Lodge was every bit as enjoyable as seeing Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park and the Crazy Horse Memorial. The lodge is rustic, peaceful, unique, very comfortable, rural, historic and located... More

Six of us stayed 4 nights at this beautiful, historic, rustic and relaxing lodge located in a secluded canyon close to Rapid City. We had 3 rooms, all very comfortable, bathrooms a bit "tight" as one other reviewer mentioned, (but you don't go to the Black Hills to spend time in the bathrooms). The view from the wrap around porch... More

A classic B&B, this history filled inn sits right across the street from a lovely creek. The Trout room provides cool breezes, a pretty view and is the most private of all rooms facing the creek. The Lost Cabin Room is secluded, cooler, and the largest room at the Inn - but careful if you are +6' as ceiling beams... More

From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and looked after. Carol and kenn are happy to offer advice about day trips without being intrusive. They are lovely to talk to. The rooms are small but comfortable and beautifully maintained. Kudos to Carol for delicious breakfasts. She even whipped up a feast when the power went out. Falling asleep to... More

We spent four days enjoying the rustic charm of the room that is so close to Rapid Creek that you are lulled to sleep by the sound of the rushing water. I love to stay in places that have a history and if the walls could talk, the stories they would tell. Hisega Lodge is just such a place and... More
