Lovely quaint bed and breakfast. Loved the sounds of the nearby mountain stream as we sat on the old fashioned porch and in our room. Fantastic breakfasts, including the one packed for our early morning departure to catch our flight. Close to the Wheaton Science station where our son was taking summer classes. Great getaway. Would recommend to others who... More

Marianne and Michael , Maspeth NY My trip to South Dakota was a gift from my family for my 60th birthday. I had been wanting to come here for about 40 years. When we got to the lodge I felt like I was home for the first time in my life. No words can properly describe the beautiful spirit of... More

My husband and I were looking for lodging off the beaten path during our 3-day stay in the Black Hills. Hisega Lodge provided a comfortable retreat. Our king-sized bed was comfy and the breakfasts were excellent. The upper porch outside our windows was our favorite spot to relax. We would love to return.

We had a lovely stay. Would recommend a stay. We loved the creek running by our Windows. The breakfasts were the best ever. Carol even fixed us a bagged lunch/breakfast because our tour was early in the morning meaning we were going to miss breakfast. We slept like babies and enjoyed our deck in the morning and evenings. Please check... More

From the moment we arrived at the Hisega Lodge we were impressed. Kenn and Carol were excellent hosts. They made us feel welcome. The name of the room we stayed in was "Helen" and our door opened up to a porch with a view of the creek. The weather was perfect and we slept with our door and windows opened... More

We stayed at Hisega Lodge for 4 nights and did not want to leave. The rustic ambiance, warm hospitality and gourmet hearty breakfasts made our stay in the Black Hills very memorable. The lodge is located amidst the Black Hills beside a running creek. A perfect place to relax in the mountain serenity, after spending a full day driving through... More

Hisega Lodge was the perfect location to meet up with members of my West Coast, East Coast, Midwest and Australian family! The only time in my life that I had no trouble waking up early ... Carol's breakfasts lure you to the dining room each morning! The Lodge is warm and comfortable and the hosts make each day special. Thank... More

Carol's breakfasts are incredible!!! I hope she publishes a cookbook soon. I enjoyed sitting on the porches and listening to the creek as I worked on my laptop. Our room "Grace" was comfortable and the space was sufficient for our three night stay that I wish could have been longer. We enjoyed meeting everyone at breakfast each morning and the... More

This is the second time I've stayed at Hisega Lodge, and I worried whether it would be as good as I remembered it being. This time, I took my husband (along with my teen children who were with me last time). We all LOVED Hisega and surely will be back as a family again. This time, we stayed in the... More
