Stayed here for three nights while visiting Rapid City and Mount Rushmore. Staff couldn't be more helpful - campsite was nice and other campers friendly. Camp store which stocks the items you may have forgotten, laundry, phone for free local calls, clean showers (although not too many), handy to highway to Mount Rushmore. Would definitely camp here again. Make sure... More

Our first initial experience with this KOA was when we called to make reservations using the one-time 10% coupon that came on their 2015 magazine. The lady on the phone had to keep texting her manager to see if they accepted it. I told her it was on their magazine and said no where that it was only valid at... More

We stayed here for a two-night stop on our trip to Montana. It was a perfect jumping off point into the Black Hills. This is a great family campground! Children were having a blast throughout the park-like setting. There is a great pet playground that our dog loved! The campground is adequately-staffed, which is not always the case at KOA's.... The good: very clean shower with plenty of pressure. Close to town. Friendly staff. The not so good: I don't know where KOA gets the nerve to charge what they do. I've stayed in countless campgrounds across the USA, this place is way overpriced for what you get. Our 33 ft motor home barely fit in our space. No sewer,... More

I read reviews that people complained that the KOA site was on a "race track" that the traffic noise was horrible. Well that is true if you pay for the sites that are the least desireable in the park, that is what you get, and that is what you should expect. If you pay a little more then you are... More

We stayed here while visiting Rushmore. While not close the drive was okay. The campground was typical of KOA. Spaces are close but we knew that. The shining feature to me were the bathrooms and showers. Very clean and comfortable. Staff was very nice.

We love the KOA in Rapid City. This is our 3rd stay. We have stayed in an RV site and rented cabins twice. It has always been quiet and the staff is always super friendly. The location is not the best if your planning on going to Keystone or Mt. Rushmore but we like the location because we always go... More

The KOA is located on the outskirts of Rapid City, right of the highway. Its central location was perfect for traveling to most attractions in the Black Hills. We liked that we didn't have to drive on any narrow, curvy mountain roads with our camper to get to the KOA, and anything we might need to buy was only a... More

Centrally located in rapid city we found this to be a good location to explore the black hills. Our kids loved the playground and pool. The restrooms, showers and laundry were well appointed. A good koa for families to relax while visiting South Dakota for it's many attractions.

The best KOA we have stayed at (6 so far). The wifi was slow and frustrating. We stayed in a Kamping Kabin and found the bathroom and showers very clean. Had the pancake breakfast both mornings, very good and affordable.
