We love the KOA in Rapid City. This is our 3rd stay. We have stayed in an RV site and rented cabins twice. It has always been quiet and the staff is always super friendly. The location is not the best if your planning on going to Keystone or Mt. Rushmore but we like the location because we always go... More

The KOA is located on the outskirts of Rapid City, right of the highway. Its central location was perfect for traveling to most attractions in the Black Hills. We liked that we didn't have to drive on any narrow, curvy mountain roads with our camper to get to the KOA, and anything we might need to buy was only a... More

Centrally located in rapid city we found this to be a good location to explore the black hills. Our kids loved the playground and pool. The restrooms, showers and laundry were well appointed. A good koa for families to relax while visiting South Dakota for it's many attractions.

The best KOA we have stayed at (6 so far). The wifi was slow and frustrating. We stayed in a Kamping Kabin and found the bathroom and showers very clean. Had the pancake breakfast both mornings, very good and affordable.

My wife and I stayed at the Rapid City KOA with our small travel trailer early, and late, September 2014 on our trips to and from Yellowstone National Park. We have stayed at this park four or five times in the last three years and have always found it to be exceptional with clean facilities and friendly staff. We'll be... More

Had a really great time here. We stayed for bike week, and ate quite a few pancake breakfasts, and some good dinners here. The staff was better than great, pool and hot tub were very nice, and the spots were easy to get into an level. It was a very busy week for them, but everything was clean and maintained.

No shade or privacy..basically camping in a large level field with 2 playgrounds and very clean restrooms/showers. Kitchen sink on back of shower house for dishes. Staff was working hard every time we saw them (pool, registration, mowing lawn). Cleanliness and friendliness!!

I was highly disappointed in the inability of the park to manage the quiet hours. We had some military couple surfing the net til 3 am. Those groups around us talked until After 12. And to top it off some jerk on a bike come rolling in on his wild hogg around 1 and sets up camp. Jar head gets... More

This place was fantastic and clean. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The pool was fun for my kids and we got to have the outdoors feel within a city and you wouldn't even know you were in the middle of the city.

The Management should be commended for running such a clean campground. This was my first experience in a KOA Campground, and it couldn't have been better. If I had any complaint at all, it would be that we bought some campfire wood and it was either wet or green. Even with fat wood and fire starters we couldn't keep a... More
