Excellent location in the heart of town, awesome Vertex Bar on the roof, and small, but clean and quiet rooms make this my top choice in Rapid City. We stayed at the Holiday Inn as well, but not having hot water for an entire day was inexcusable.

Check in was slow even with a reservation but not a show stopper, staff was friendly. Lobby and hallway were impressive but went down hill fast from there. This is our favorite place for a staycation. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and peaceful. Best of all, it's in the heart of our very charming downtown with many shops and restaurants to choose from.
