We booked a standard non-smoking room with a queen bed on the Best Western website. I usually find better rates this way rather than going thru websites like Expedia or Orbitz. I also have not run into problems with our reservations like some people do who book thru Expedia. We had no problems checking in and the receptionist was very... more

Great location, very friendly staff. When we checked in, we were greated at the door and they also called to our room to make sure everything was okay. Colonial House is a great local resturant with that Mid-West feel. And they have soup and cookies at night in the lobby! more

Arrived according to my expedia paid reservations expecting a Deluxe King Room , Was told they had booked us a queen , when we questioned this , clerk said Expedia only get you a room , not what quality you get! We booked this after reading reviews on Tripadvisor but not carefully enough. It is a motel. OK if you are travelling on a budget and not looking for comfort, it is sufficient. The rooms are poorly sound-proofed - you will hear the neighbours using the bathroom. The breakfast room is ridiculously small for the number of rooms and even when... more

Best Western town ‘n country, Rapid City This hotel in the south of the city, on highway 16 to Mount Rushmore and the black hills, consists of several buildings. It is built on a hillside, so you can go to the door of your room as well on first as on second floor. This is a nice feature if you... more

I was travelling west on I 80 and needed a room for the night. Best Western had a familiar ring to it so I thought I'd give them a try. I was pleased with my selection. Lobby was inviting, staff was friendly and helpful. Was offered a room at a reasonable rate. Had to listen to someone rant in front... more

We just returned from vacation in South Dakota where we stayed for four nights at the Best Western Town 'N Country in Rapid City. It's always a little scary booking a hotel sight unseen for four nights, but we were very pleased with our experience. The hotel is made up of mutliple buildings. Some are one level and some are... more

I stayed for one night in June, 2006. It's an affordable room but I was staying for business in town and this hotel is not business traveler friendly. No internet in rooms. Small rooms and older. More of an old travel lodge feel to it. The parking is also very odd if you get a corner room. I was near... more

We had a good comfortable room. Motel is on the main road heading south to Rushmore but we were at the back on the higher block and didn't hear any noise. We liked the fact that after a long day sightseeing there was a decent restaurant on the premises for an evening meal. Recommend it. more
