Our hotel room was not serviced the first day. Our bed was unmade, there were dirty linen and towels, the carpet was not vacuumed and the garbage cans were full. We had purchased food but the refrigerator was broken. The clerk had no authority to move us to a similar room, even though she said they were available. I went to the front desk so the clerk called the assistant manager at home. The assistant manager told the clerk she could only move us to a room with two beds, not a room like we had with one King. She recommended we talk to the manager the next day to get a discount. Worse yet, the new room had a broken door jamb. It appeared that the door had been forced open. The only thing keeping it closed was the broken trim over the jamb and the chair I placed in front of it.
