Very beautiful and easy access. Out of town with easy access to the interstate. It was very quiet. We pulled in late at night and were cheerfully met and shown our spot. It is easy to get to town. The sites are large and quiet. Plenty of shade and plenty of room to walk a dog. Propane was available.

We stayed here on the spur of the moment because we were on our way home after visiting the Black Hills and the Badlands. It was very windy on the highway and we didn't get far. The bathrooms were clean and I liked how the owners were environmentally conscious - gave us a bag to put all our recyclables in... More

This was a good find after a long drive. Friendly staff, clean showers, nice tenting area and in close proximity to Mitchell to check out Corn Palace in the morning before heading to the Black Hills. Can't beat free Wi Fi either!

We stopped at the Mitchell KOA for a night on our way to the Black Hills. The campground was nicely treed and our campsite was level making set up quick and easy. Although it is not located in town, it is a quick, scenic drive to Mitchell.

Great for a one night stay. Jerry (one of the owners I think) is super nice. Our kids (age 6-11) had fun with the rental bikes and playing mini golf. We heard none of the traffic noise that others commented on in other reviews. Would stay here again.

We stayed here twice. Once on our way to the Black Hills and once on the way back. The campground is very clean and well maintained. The staff was very helpful and friendly. For a "layover" stop, I was surprised at how much there was to do at the campground. We played miniature golf, rented bicycles and hung out at... More

We usually love staying in KOA cabins as we travel to and from our vacation destinations. This was the first time we have ever been disappointed with the cleanliness and comfort of the cabin. I can't speak to the quality of the other cabins, but #4 had a broken window (a chunk of glass was gone), a filthy air conditioner,... More

The owners/workers at this KOA were excellent and very welcoming. Seeing a large group of middle school students pull up at your campsite might give some people an uneasy feeling but the workers treated these kids as their own family. We got large sites and they kept checking up on us to see if we were alright. The accommodations were... More

This KOA has the most pleasant employees. Everyone was very polite and welcoming. This was our first stop (coming from Indiana to Custer) and everything was in well working order. Nice big bathrooms, good size pool and our campsites were large (we were right next to my parents and brother who brought their pop-up campers). They have a park and... More

We stayed for one night in our RV,and it was mostly fine. Nice grounds, good facilities, clean pool. Only downsides were quite a lot of road noise at night, plus a blocked shower outlet in the men's bathroom in the morning. Sites were quite big enough and staff were friendly.
