Staff, grounds, bathrooms, showers, pool all great. Only complaints are the very tight quarters and the lack of modern play ground. They had a mini golf course, free, but it has seen better days. We had a 40ish foot motorbike with a 20 foot trailer pull in next to us, we literally had to move our picnic table so close... More

This is a lovely little park, near the Corn Palace (3 miles). Hosts, Jim and Jerry, are delightful, warm and welcoming. This one of the few KOA's that provides fire rings. We had a Tornado watch, and all of the guests had to gather in the main building, which has a tornado shelter in the basement. Lucky for us, no... More

This was a half way stop for us along the interstate. Couldn't really fault it. We stayed in one of the cabins. Quite windy. Wi-Fi was good. Lots of space so didn't feel crowded. Staff were quite friendly and up for a chat. Bathrooms clean and central.

Very beautiful and easy access. Out of town with easy access to the interstate. It was very quiet. We pulled in late at night and were cheerfully met and shown our spot. It is easy to get to town. The sites are large and quiet. Plenty of shade and plenty of room to walk a dog. Propane was available.

We stayed here on the spur of the moment because we were on our way home after visiting the Black Hills and the Badlands. It was very windy on the highway and we didn't get far. The bathrooms were clean and I liked how the owners were environmentally conscious - gave us a bag to put all our recyclables in... More

This was a good find after a long drive. Friendly staff, clean showers, nice tenting area and in close proximity to Mitchell to check out Corn Palace in the morning before heading to the Black Hills. Can't beat free Wi Fi either!

We stopped at the Mitchell KOA for a night on our way to the Black Hills. The campground was nicely treed and our campsite was level making set up quick and easy. Although it is not located in town, it is a quick, scenic drive to Mitchell.

Great for a one night stay. Jerry (one of the owners I think) is super nice. Our kids (age 6-11) had fun with the rental bikes and playing mini golf. We heard none of the traffic noise that others commented on in other reviews. Would stay here again.

We stayed here twice. Once on our way to the Black Hills and once on the way back. The campground is very clean and well maintained. The staff was very helpful and friendly. For a "layover" stop, I was surprised at how much there was to do at the campground. We played miniature golf, rented bicycles and hung out at... More
